Agreed, smart play by PP though.  He made [dang] sure that the C's got the last shot.

Good old give it to Pierce and Pray Iso. Doc has been running that before the Big Three era.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
