Ray was one of my favorite Celtics, and still is one of my favorite basketball personalities.  That said, at this stage of his game, and with the state of his recurring ankle problems, I (personally) am glad that he "took his talent to Miami"  and away from the Celtics.  And I am glad for the way he did it.  If we had to trade him for like salary I do not believe that we could have gotten the free agents we have picked up...probably would have gotten an overpaid  semi-star and garbage filler and would not have nearly as talented a team as we ended up with.  I wish Ray well, but still feel that it was a boneheaded decision/mistake  by him and he will regret it personally, while the Celtics' talent increased by subtraction.

As far as the "right to hate"...is it my right to hate the haters?   ;)

It sure is  ;D

I have not mentioned anything about following the heat and/or him to then blast him and post about it.

Hopefully once you're reminded of what you said we can all move on, and focus on something a bit more productive.

Here's your quote:

Quote
It is our right and duty as die hard celtics fans to do so whenever he plays us or has a poor game just like this one.

"It is our ... duty as die hard celtics fans to do so whenever ... has a poor game just like this one."

That's what you said.  Maybe it's not what you meant, but I think telling other fans what their duty is is going to get a negative reaction.  Especially when that duty is posting whenever Ray has a bad game.

So, let's move on...

I did not say this

from OP:

Quote
So when i get the chance to rip judas when he has a bad game im gonna cause it makes me feel godd, thats just how it is.

so this part of your OP only applies to preseason games then?

I mean, i'm not trying to say you can't do it man, hell i'm mad at Ray too, but your inital post pretty much came off as "I'm going to report on every bad game he has, cause it makes me feel good"

and I don't think anyone begruded you that, do whatever you feel like doing, Roy, I and others just think it's a little silly to say you going to follow ray in miami because you don;t care about him anymore, thats all.

This is the problem.

I did not say these things! Ray had a bad game and i chose to blast him for it.

I have not mentioned anything about following the heat and/or him to then blast him and post about it.

OMG!

You can read cant you?

Its right there in writing what i in fact DID say!

WOW! just.....WOW!

Ok man, I don't know why you think your under attack and think you need to defend yourself, but again, from another post:

Quote
im gonna rip him when i can

I mean, this is stuff you said. If you didn't express it like you wanted, and you ment your only going to rip on a bad game here or there, fine, say that.

And again you can do whatever you want. I don't know why exactly you think its a attack to disagree with you. Generally when you post something on a discussion board, people want to discuss it with you.

But to imply I can't read when you said in your OP your going to:

Quote
So when i get the chance to rip judas when he has a bad game im gonna cause it makes me feel godd, thats just how it is.

and followed it up by responding to Roy saying your going to:

Quote
im gonna rip him when i can

and

Quote

I don't see where you get off implying im a moron who can't read and you never said those things. But whatever makes you feel good man, do you brother, do you.

And making wide assumptions about what people write means isnt???

Just ask if something is unclear when it concerns meaning, thats what i always do.

I guess its true what they say about assumption being the mother of all youknowwhat-ups.

but your right, lets move on...

yea, I have a real problem with that, assuming when people write:

Quote
"It is our ... duty as die hard celtics fans to do so whenever ... has a poor game just like this one."

that they mean to say that it's our duty, as Celtics fans, to do so whenever he has a poor game like this one.

I guess it's my pesky tendency to read words as meaning what they mean in the English Language, and not taking into account the unexpressed intent of the writer to apparently mean something completely different.

Anyway, I'm done with this, it's not productive. I'll again reiterate, I have no problem with you posting a thread every time ray sucks. I want him to suck. Heck, if their funny enough I'll probley give you a tommypoint.

But I still maintain it's kinda silly to follow Ray's box scores in Miami. Ray is gone, therefore I dont care what he does in Miami, and I hope we spank him every time we play.

EDIT to your above: so you have no argument then? What did you mean when you wrote the things i quoted since according to you i read them incorrectly?

I don't have the ability to read your mind from my computer, so I have to go with what those words mean in English. If they mean something else in your head, go ahead and let us know.

my argument is your taking the things i say, and not even quoting them correctly and then you assume and read out what you want from them.

I can copy and paste half sentences from your posts if you want and make it seem like you said stuff you actually didnt if you want.

I dont know what else to say really....
I do watch other games than celtics games, i watch the entire nba.

Im not following box-scores here, im just a basketball fan and i saw that clippers heat game so whats the problem with me commenting on rays bad performance?

Its not like im just looking up the boxscore thinking "well i didnt see the game but lets hope judas had a bad one so i can go on CB and blast him"

I'm still pretty p---ed at Ray.  I do agree with Roy, however, that we shouldn't read too much into one preseason game.

But I do 100% agree that whoever wants to rip him should rip him.  Ray isn't Perk who was traded away.  Ray isn't Posey, who left because he was offered a better contract.  Ray isn't Tony Allen, who left because he was offered a bigger role on another team.

Ray left on his own free will, for a team offering him less money, and a smaller role on the team.

I think someone is massively out of touch with how the majority of English speaking people perceive what he wrote himself  ::)

maybe thats because english is not my first language  ::)

Or it could be cause there is a huge difference between perceiving something and assuming something

This thread probably isn't salvageable at this point.

If anybody wants to start a thread about Ray's pre-season performance, please feel free to do so.  (I'd recommend staying away from talk of fans' duties and such, however.)

Locked.
