  • Ashy To Classy, baby.
Give the guy a break.  He has been watching the T-Wolves all his life.  He has no idea how good franchise work.

Hahahahahahaha tp. When you're right, you're right.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
lol that was a very funny article.
Poor T Wolves.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

why are people sticking up for darko in yet another thread? my god...can we at least go back to overrating courtney lee?
Darko is among the wort most lifeless players in the nba this guy has ever seen...and hes not alone.
its only the minimum! sprinkle green fairy dust on him and get him in a room with KG! ::)

Hoping he can actually pick up the big man rotations quicker then Wilcox. Also not sure how two very emotional players like KG and Darko will mix.

But huge improvement over Hollins or Collins and at least as good as Stiemsma.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I didn't even know we have Darko now.

I love that signing, if anything the man brings a shot blocking presence. Legit 7-footer too. Not too bad of a pickup.

The only knack about Darko is his work ethic, but on a veteran laden, hard working and great basketball environment locker room, he will be influenced to work harder as hey, he's not on a losing team anymore.

We will have fun with Darko.

First and foremost, WE HAVE ALMOST NO INVESTMENT IN DARKO.

If Darko doesn't rebound, he'll sit. If Darko doesn't rotate, he'll sit. If Darko doesn't fit in the locker room, he'll get axed. Simple as that. Loaf and you're toast, pun intended.

Also that article is pretty legitimate to me. That was an avid Basketball fan being very upset that his franchise put so much hope (and resources) in a guy that looked uninterested for most of his career. I can completely sympathize with that and I think a lot of you guys can too. As a backup I think Darko will flourish. He'll be playing against 2nd stringers a lot and he'll have a chance to save his reputation in the NBA. If there was ever a time for Darko to play, it is now. He can win and he can change his narrative.

article is legit. Darko is pretty much blount but without the jumpshot. there's a huge difference in the situation of the two franchises though, which is why the darko signing isn't so bad for the C's, but pretty bad for Minny.

Have fun with what? We're not the team who signed Milicic to a $20 million contract to be their starting center.

It's not about the money, it's about basketball. And Milicic is the kind of guy, who will get you excited one game, because he looks like an all star, and that's it. He won't play another good game for months. And it will seem like he just doesn't care.

He should have done like Kirilenko and gone back to Europe for a year or two, preferably play for his home team and get the passion for basketball back.

He probably feels misused, maybe even abused by the NBA teams he has played for so far. However, Doc as a players' coach might be the only coach in the league who could connect with him at this point. And if that connection happens, we might see a different player. But I am not that optimistic. We might have to cut him early to keep a good team chemistry.

well now that Darko is on a "real NBA" team , I suspect his attitude and performance will pick up.

The Celtics aren't a team of slackers ...if he doesn't practice and play hard , Danny and Doc will dump him in NY second.

DArko should be able to play AT LEAST as good as Steimsma .  Plus, he has the body size to really clog the lane nice when KG isn't in there.

Danny and Doc know other than KG our Centers aren't offensive weapons.  They want ONE THING.......

FOR WADE and LeBRON to be PUNISHED ...very HARD for launching themselves 25 times a game at the basket.

We need enforcers inside that won't give WADE and Lebron all those free dunks.

Oh... its going to get very ugly inside whe the HEAT and C's play.   ;D

I can't wait...!!

I know lots of posters have a negative impression of Darko and with good reason. He has definitely earned it with poor play regardless of any excuses. OTOH I do believe that he wants to be successful in the NBA. I dont think he signed a contract with us for less money if he is just some kinda talentless headcase. (see Blount, Mark) That is the only thing I have to cling to in trying to keep a positive attitude. Given the opportunity, low expectations and some encouragement he could turn out to be a steal.

Fingers crossed.  ;)

He was not able to bring it every night in Minn. as a starter and probably sulked on the bench. Even so he was in the best shape of his life and had some big defensive performances and even a complete game or two. The question is if he has a clear role hear that he is willing to buy into. If he is I think he will be fine. If we just throw him in there to see what happens every once and a while he will not be able to produce.

I think if we can give him a clear role he will be good and against some teams Rondo can make them pay by going to him down low like he does with KG and Wilcox. There are enough stats on him that they can run the numbers and find out where he has the highest rate of return.

Next to KG and Rondo and playing for Doc he will care! Not the issue here!

"get the passion for basketball back."
Playing with passion is what he will be doing here! This is the Boston Celtics and KG and JET intensity and Rondo focus  and Doc's fire and the Celtics FANS passion will get into him! No worries here either!

"He probably feels misused"
We might have the best coaching staff at properly using players within the role that benefit the most! Wont be misused here! Not an issue here!

"maybe even abused by the NBA teams he has played for so far."
Classy organization! Wont even feel any intention of mere potential of abuse here! This is just a great opportunity for him! That's it! No abuse! Not a worry!

"However, Doc as a players' coach might be the only coach in the league who could connect with him at this point"
You got it right here! ;-)

In summary, it's simply a great organization, and passionate coach and players and great fan base giving a talented player a last chance to flourish under the right circumstances... We do have the best environment for him!!
