NYK, you have one player on your team who has won a title and you have him playing only 15 min per game.  Would you say experience is a problem for your team?  Why do the players succeed this time on your team where they have failed on other teams?

boston: with the lack of jump shooting on your team do you worry about spacing the floor and not clogging the lane for westbrook when he trys to drive?

We will have the ball in Monta's hands when both are on the floor. Maggette will be able to get his buckets with off ball screens and cutting through the lane. Also we won't take away from his strengths Corey needs the ball and he will get it. He is one of the best at getting to the line. But we will have him work on certain cuts with monta or jose fiding him.

Boston seems like speed on the wings could cause some real nightmares for you, any thoughts on strategy there

New York you say you have a deep team, can you be exact on what positions you think are deep? Also how will Durant and Ellis work out?

Experience shouldn't be exactly thrown out there as something you NEED to have. I think its nice. And we have actually two players who have won a ring. Both BBD and Haslem. But experience comes with what you do as a team in the playoffs. I mean Paul Pierce Ray Allen and KG never went to the finals but that didn't stop them. Also we feel players can strive here because this is NYC where you make things work for the betterment of the dream. We know that people spit out negative things about Monta so he need to use that as motivation. Which he will. Also playing with KD doesn't hurt he will make every player on this team. Not only on the court but of the court as well.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Philly:  You argued that there's not a big gap between Jared Dudley and Paul Pierce at this stage of their careers.  Can you justify that?

No. The trade was made because we felt getting a little worse at the 3 and substantially better at the 5 was worth the cost of Pierce.

Don't regret it for a second, considering how little respect Pierce seems to be getting for the ingeniously assembled Chicago Bulls squad.

We feel we are a team team because we have certain players that can player multiple spots. Yes at first glance we don't have the glitter and glare of a jason terry coming off our bench. But to have Monta Ellis a guy who can pour it in helps the bench already. We have guys like Brewer who is champion and brings great defense and finishing at the rim. Corey Maggette another guy who plays multiple spots and can finish around the rim and will play gritty defense. Also haslem and Mozgov have been starters in the respected careers and they come off our bench. Yes they may not glare out and say WOW but these guys get it done.

On the whole Monta and KD thing. Guys they are both NBA players they will be able to work. Last season people say westbrook didn't pass enough and thats all you hear about Monta well Monta avg's 6apg he moves the ball when he gets to the rim just as well as he finishes there. We needed another scorer around KD and we have that in Monta.

NYK: I think your assembled roster of Calderon/Leonard/Durant/BBD/Jordan is the right way to go, but what kind of assurances do you have that Leonard will be able to guard 2's?

Also, defensively where do you think you rank?

So, if I'm understanding right, Paul Pierce is only a little better than Jared Dudley?  Good to know.  8)

Correct Monta will see time at PG. Also having a big shot blocker and charge taker never hurts as well.

Boston Celtics: You guys have a great big 3, a decent bench, but what about your starting wings?

We know Leonard can play Sg's which he will do for portion's of a game cause he will most likely finish guarding the SF's but because of his long arms and quick feet he will reek havoc on SG's. As for where we rank on defense I would say somewhere in the top 12. We have guys who play the passing lane. Guys who take charges and and big big shot blocker. We like where we stand on Defense and have Tommy T's scheme never hurts.
