Signed players:

Rondo,Terry,Bradley,Lee,Pierce,Green
Garnett,Wilcox,Sullinger,Melo,Bass,Collins

Nonguaranteed signings, camp invites:

Joseph,Smith

I wish we signed Pietrus to a two year biannual, Dooling and a bigman for the vet minimum.

Haven't heard the Celtics interested in signing any of Blatche or Birdman, while Darko is reportedly considering other teams.

So after 12 players you mentioned:
13. Pietrus or Joseph
14. Dooling or Christmas
15. another big for deep
And give Danny A+++ for this offseason

I see no Xmas on your invitees. He deserve an invitation for training camp. I think we are already set in big guys.

The only spot left is a wing and guards. Joseph, Pietrus, Xmas or even Dooling, Delfino and Smith fits the bill.

While Dooling has the veteran locker room presence that doesn't always appear on the scoreboard, I think Pietrus deserves a look mainly because he WANTS to be a Celtic. I honestly think he played pretty well last year too, played solid defense (what our team needs) and even though he didnt shoot well, you couldn't really blame with since of his injury. I think someone who has that desire and shown that he can play solid basketball fitting nicely into the rotation should be someone we should resign.

I think we should sign Pietrus/Dooling, one of the new rookies since we've traded away Johnson/Moore, and possibly a backup bigman or the other veteran.

I'd be comfortable with Joseph, Christmas, and Dooling.

Maybe one of Christmas and Dooling, and just bring an additional big. I prefer Christmas in all honesty.

Very much doubt Pietrus would be returning, and I'd be wary of him and the extremely limited role he'll have with us.

If Pietrus would sign for the vet min, he would be back on this team in a heartbeat.  Unfortunately, I think he is looking for more money.  I think the BAE could bring him in, but in all honesty that would be a waste of the exception since we are so deep now at the 2/3, if you consider Kris Joseph on our team.

Dooling will also try to get more $, I think he is less likely to be successful, and he could come back here.  With the departure of Moore, we are really down to 2 PGs on the depth chart (Rondo, Terry).  I don't think Jamar Smith makes the team - though I can see why they might like him over Dooling at the moment.

I would really like Danny to take a flyer on Dionte XMas.  He has shown so much heart and toughness.  Never expect anything less from an A10 player.

My preference:  Pietrus, XMas, Project Big to Be Named Later

Most likely:  Dooling, Random Vet We Didn't Think Of #1, Random Vet We Didn't Think Of #2

Joseph and either Christmas some other big man or it will stay open for the trade deadline, my guess is it will be open

Christmas looks like a summer league gunner to me.  No hurry on that.

I like our starting 10:  Rondo/Terry; Lee/Bradley; Pierce/Green; Bass/Sullinger; KG/Wilcox.  That's who's going to play, with some Collins thrown in.

I think Joseph is in.  2 left, with BAE.

First of Dooling, Daniels, or Pietrus to take the minimum is on the team.

I might save the BAE for now and give the 15th spot to Smith on a non-guaranteed deal unless a nice big is available now for it.

I'm going back and forth on adding Dooling or not. I'm leaning towards no, and just go after a big.

Pietrus brings an interesting dilemma. He's 30 years old, and declining. He's been quite injured for the past 2 seasons, and the way he ended banged up with us this year, I don't see that changing much.

I think the safe best is Joseph and Christmas, and an additional big. With that, we pretty much got our bases covered, plus financial wise, they might make the most sense, particularly if we're trying to acquire full MLE next year (I don't think we're in that good of a shape, so we'll see).

I'd go with one more wing (and I think Pietrus is out of our price range), a PG, and leave the BAE available for a later move.  Just carry 14 for now.

If he agrees to sign for the minimum, Pietrus should be snatched up. If not, don't waste the BAE. Lock Kris Joseph up for the season, sign Dooling to the vet minimum, get Pietrus a passport and keep a roster spot open. We could find some candy come mid-season and the BAE would be great to have in our arsenal.

That's normally how we do things.  You don't fill out the entire 15 man roster so you have some flexibility.
