I tried pretty hard last night to make a major move but couldnt get anything done.  Oh well, pretty happy with the way my team turned out.  Drafting out of the 18 spot this year was definitely the biggest challenge i have face in the CB draft.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Robinson, Ross and Livingston for

Brooks, Aminu and Waitors

Seriously, I can't even begin to assess this trade. Two rookies and the star of one of the most gruesome basketball injuries ever for a rookie, a basketball enigma, and the guy who's haunted the blog for the last season as "the guy Danny traded away."

Needed a backup pf. Livingston is cool for some pg minutes.

I like Livingston. Can play three positions. I like players like that.

And maybe Robinson can do something this season in Sacto. Really have no idea.

Looking forward to the pressers.

Somebody's taken a page from the Chris Wallace management playbook and submitted their deadline deal on a Chili's cocktail napkin. No team names? No first names? At least one typo.

Without looking at the roster page, I'm at a loss. Nate Thomas Robinson? MarShon Brooks? If somebody snuck Quinton Ross over on a rival they win my vote for GM of the Year.

EDIT - I missed the Sacramento reference that helped some.

trade was between the Celtics and Lakers. I actually submitted a more complete one as well to IP.

Really, the trade was Thomas Robinson for Marshon Brooks and then two gm's just working to help each other out from there. "If I'm giving your Robinson I'll need a big back..." , "If I'm giving you Brooks I'll need someone capable of playing point"

I'm sad this trade happened, then.  I would have enjoyed seeing somebody argue that Brooks can be a rotation-level PG.

That's just because you're mean spirited.

Eventually you did. I put that out there before you'd posted it. Seems like it got the job done!

For anyone keeping track, I'm tapping Lawrence Frank as my assistant coach.

PG: Holiday (32), Jack (10), Shved (6)
SG: Wade (30), Jack (18)
SF: Pierce (30), Parsons (18)
PF: Bosh (15), Young (28), Parsons (5)
C: Haywood (15), Bosh (18), Splitter (15)

That's an example of just one way the whole thing could breakdown. And I'm mostly sticking to it.

I'm starting to cross the 'I really believe in this team' rubicon where ive thought so hard about my guys that i now am looking at some of my end of rotation guys and starting to think they'll be difference makers in the real NBA.

Ive done this To the point where. I've thought of a new side game for the CB draft.

Betting on your guys people seem to be way cooler on, or even flat out dismissive of, at odds to be settled on. For instance, I think Jimmy Butler and Alexey Shved are going to look like complete steals, guys who would've gone multiple rounds earlier if we could do a redraft later on in the season. Anyone else wanna try to flesh out the game with me a little?
