Almost anybody that is not a Celtics fan would take Bass over Powe. It's a no question.
Almost anybody that is not a Celtics fan would not have seen Powe at his best and only caught him in the '08 Finals.

To this day I'll still argue that we'd be back to back champions if Powe didn't go down.  The way Rondo was playing there is no question.  The drop off from KG to Leon was unnoticeable compared to the drop off from KG to Scals.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Lol. You put your green glasses on before training camp begins?

I doubt we get past CLE without KG, and I see no reason to believe we beat LAL without KG. Too hard to contain LBJ without your defensive anchor. And way too much size from LA with Bynum, Gasol, and Odom.

Now with KG, I don't think anyone stands in our way (in 2009 or 2010).

Bass over Leon with the way our team is currently constructed. Leon over Bass if Perkins were still our center.

Why would it change if Perkins was still here? Perk would almost exclusively be playing next to KG. Are you saying you like Powe's energy off the bench more than Bass' offense?

If Powe never blew out either knee (he was a great college player before his first injury), he could've possibly been a starter in this league.

The one who is the better defender, probably.

Right, I screwed that up.

Next to KG, as a starter, I like Bass. As a 6th man off the bench with KG and Perk still both on board, I like Powe.

The thing about a healthy Powe would be that we likely would have never been able to draft him. If memory serves he was rated as a top 20 first rounder before his first knee injuries and that was why he went back to school. He had to try and prove he could still play with the ruined leg.

A healthy Leon Powe would be a Celtics PF starter to Bass's bench role in the real world. Just my opinion, but Bass has never been considered starter material in the NBA and wouldnt be without injuries to our roster last year.

Celtics fans didn't even see Powe at his best. Only people who saw that were kids out in Cal watching him play in college.

Non injured Powe fills many more needs for this team (and last year's team) than Bass.  Powe was a dominant offensive rebounder and a foul-drawing machine.

I gotta go with Leon. That guy was a soldier. I'm in the camp that believes we're in the finals with him in 2009. He rebounded, scored a point a second, and taught Glen Davis everything he knows about taking charges.

The reason why I'd take Bass is because he maximizes Pierce, Terry, Bradley, and most importantly Rondo. The spacing between KG and Bass means everyone who can put the ball on the floor on the wings has a much more open runway. If we're gonna give up bulk and size we've gotta be able to make them pay.

The reason why I'd take Powe as a bench starter is the same reason Kenneth Faried is one of the most underrated players in basketball. Some guys play with an infectious ability to energize the guys around them, and Powe brings that, Bass doesn't.

That should be = most over-rated player in basketball

Non injured??? Leon was a top prospect before he first got injured.   We never seen him at his prime.  Trouble is he has got injured a lot.

I would take Bass.   I live in the real world.
