The only mistake that Danny has made in this FA was resigning Bass.  Don't get me wrong I respect what he did for us last year and do not deny his talent, but that same talent was the talent that teams would want in a Sign and Trade.  KG could play the starting PF like he wanted with Sully and JJJ backing him up and Bass would have gotten us the SG we need.  Then we would stil need a Center ( Blache, Darko, Steamer )  IMO I would take a chance on Blatche with Bass netting us lets say Lee.  We would look like this right now.

Rondo/Terry/Moore
Lee/Bradley
Pierce/Green/ Joseph
KG/ Sully/JJJ
Blatche/Wilcox/Melo

Not that this was a huge mistake because our squad is also good but I beleive this would be a notch better. A lot of these players are interchangeable for a countless lineup flexibility.

Complete opposite of a bad move.

(signing Blatche would have been the worst move any team could make this offseason)

I know a lot of people dont like him on this site but I think he is a low risk high reward player.  KG and part of a winning Org. would wip him into shape.... IMO

I like what KG did at the Center position but I think a full season at Center might be a problem.

I live in the DC area.  I know people who actually told the Wizards that they would no longer get season tickets if he was still on the team.

I was listening the the sport radio when he basically told the everyone that he is a soft player.

He has not listen to a single coach.

He put up empty numbers on a bad team.  A bad team that sent him home last year and dumped him this year because they wanted him nowhere near their young players.

So yes, let's bring him in to teach the three young big men how to play in the NBA.

For every good thing KG teaches them, Blatche would counter it and the net result is zero.

As much as I love KG and hype him up on CBlog, his days of playing PF consistently are behind him.

I'd rather he draw the likes of Bosh into a Center vs Center duel, rather than Bosh getting him on the perimeter in a PF vs PF duel.

Glad that Bass is back, in that regard.

KG is already going to have Sully and Melo to teach. Why does he need an other guy to worry about. As much crap Melo gets, at least the guy works hard and listens when people are trying to teach him, why would you want the opposite?

Why in the world would anyone want Blatche in a Celtic uniform. No thank you. I take BB over him any day.

As for Blatche, the man is not a lost cause. If Danny chose to go after him, (and if Blatche chose the vet min), I'd like to give him a try.

I just don't believe that any player is beyond a good opportunity.

But with that, I really believe that RIGHT NOW our Bigs are set:

C - KG/Wilcox/Melo (Stiem??)
PF - Bass/Wilcox/Sully/JJ (Jeff Green in some matchups?)

Doc has a lot of options here - especially with the way Sully has looked so far.

I'd take a harder look at giving Blatche a shot if God forbid someone gets dinged up. But I'm guessing he won't last that long.

Someone will give him an opportunity if BOS doesn't.

seriously?  get rid of Bass and pick up Blatche?  Seriously?  has to be right up there as one of the worst ideas of the offseason

You know Blatche is going to be amnestied, right OP?  He should be available at the vet min by the end of the week.

i think he made a mistake giving Terry the MLE.  Considering all the players were were amnestied and the fact that our real need was a big man... we blew it.  Had we never signed Terry, Ray probably sticks around and we could have added Elton Brand or Scola.

Teams can't use the MLE to put in a bid.  Only teams with cap space.

Ainge could not have gotten them.

Can't say I agree. I think Danny had to have known that Ray was going to leave Boston. Besides, despite the need for a big, I think Jet was definitely one of the better free agents available and will actually fit in with the team better than Ray Allen would've.
