Love the Cavs new lineup after the trade.  Still a few years away from being a real contender, but the future would certainly look bright.

PG - Irving, Sloan
SG - Waiters, Gibson
SF - Casspi, Azuibuike
PF - Thompson, Walton
C - Bynum, Zeller
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

If they don't give up some of those players to get Bynum I'd be shocked.

I can't see why any team would want to make the Lakers better.
Signed to a 6 year $0 contract with the Celtics Blog forum!

I still don't get how that will help Orlando in any way. So far I am reading, Orlando gets Varejao, but Cleveland gets picks?

Sounds like the winners are Lakers and Cleveland

They do have Varejao and 3 extra First Round picks (one from Sacramento in the Casspi trade and 2 from Miami in the LeBron sign-and-trade).

Something like what is listed below should be more than enough:

Orlando gets:
Anderson Varejao
Cavs 2013 1st Round
HEAT 2013 1st Round
Cavs 2015 1st Round
HEAT 2015 1st Round
Kings 2013 1st Round (w/protections)

Los Angeles gets:
Dwight Howard
A garbage Magic contract

Cleveland gets:
Andrew Bynum
A garbage Magic contract or two

Maybe Orlando really likes Waiters.  He looks like Marcus Thornton to me.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I think Orlando says no, you want at least one current prospect instead of picks from what will be good teams picks.

If Cleveland has Bynum you can't project them to be a lottery team anymore.

5 late first rounders? No way.

This would have to involve some lottery picks.

I'd say Thompson and Waiters and picks.

Without fail Orlando will accept the worst deal possible for DH, the way that team is run is a joke.

After what DH has done to the franchise they should be sending him to someplace he does not want to go and make him play a year in Minnesota or Toronto.  Orlando trades DH to Toronto for Calderon and Amir Johnson haha.

If he does not want to show up good, lets see how sitting out a year effects his endorsements and brand!

Wow ...this deal SUCKS for Orlando .    LoL ..man if they do this they are really stupid.

Bynum might be a good fit for Cleveland, I still think LA wants him OFF the team more than they really want him ON the team.

Like one poster siad , it would be fitting if Howard returns a scrub with back problems.

Look LA is in a PANICK mode.  Kobe is running out of years he can dominate the court .  Its all they talk about (how long can he keep up the wear and tear.) and has the fans already on edge... his huge contract , and each year that goes by the oods winning it all deminish and yet his contract HANGs over their heads like a guillotine.

Horrible trade for the Magic. They might as well let Dwight contract expire, if that is the best they conjure up

Which is exactly why I hate it when people say McHale did the Celtics a favor trading Garnett here.  We had the one thing they had to have, a guaranteed lottery pick because it was their own #1 and any team you shipped Garnett to would not end up in the lottery.  Garnett wouldn't sign a deal to a horrible team either so the Wolves were stuck with the Celtics.

I'm fairly sure that Waiters has already signed his contract, which means he can't be traded until mid-Decemberish.

I think the Cavs also have a couple of the Magic's 2nd rounders coming up they could give back as well.

Yes, he did sign a contract, so he's not tradeable until Dec 15.
