Miami is the best team in the east. Take the reigning champions and add a Hall of Famer and probably the greatest pure shooter ever and Rashard Lewis, a multiple time all-star in the past.
This is probably true, but Wade is on the decline. I expect him to come back as an All-Star-quality player, but there's a real chance that he won't. Most of the supporting cast is in the same boat, only more so: Allen, Lewis, and Miller all had significant injuries at the end of last year, and all are clearly at the tail ends of their careers. Battier has been healthy, and Haslem has been for a year or so, but they're declining as well.
If LeBron keeps getting better, though, it may not matter.
