He is so slow, gets blown by constantly by NBA players with above average speed and quickness. To add onto that , he really isn't athletic enough and he doesn't have the handle to create his own shot .  He isn't even a very good shooter unless he is spotting up and is pretty much wide open

I don't know what some on here are thinking when they say he could help replace Ray.

To me Moore isn't a NBA Player

I am thinking Joseph might steal his spot .

Agreed, except I don't think Joseph is likely to be much of an NBA player, either.

If we have a chance to fill the roster with vets that can help, Moore and/or Joseph should be gone.

The PurDuo were absolutely abysmal today.

I am not surprised.

Yea, JJJ was terrible but Moore was NOT abysmal! He isn't a good defender but he can shoot and he can create his own shot (unlike the OP is stating)! He has the floater and he has a step back from all over too! He pulled up for a 3, he had a pull-up on a 2, and he went in hard to the basket and hit over 2 bigs (who fouled him and wasn't called)! I think he will be fine offensively as a 2 but don't expect much on defense. Sully scored only 4 more pts than Moore (16 to 20) and everyone is saying he is the greatest! I think PJ3 missed as many shots as Moore did and I think had 17pts but people are calling it a travesty that we didn't take him...

I will agree on the defense but I guess you guys are going to see what you want to see about Moore's offense, as will I.

he was 6-18 today from the field. If he can only shoot 33 % against summer league players, I don't want to see what he does against true NBA players. I know it's only one game , but I am really not seeing it with him .

Yes he can create his own shot by throwing it up anytime the ball touches his hand .

Say what you will but JJJ did a great job rebounding the basketball and was the only player able to match up against PJ3. Moore played too much hero ball but that should change next game.

Why people wanted to draft 2 power fowards is beyond me, especially when PJ3 is a slightly more skilled version of JJJ.

Kris Joseph was the truth today. That is all.

Agreed on Moore.

But on a brighter note, I think with the right work ethic and guidance JJJ could become a solid role player for my hometown Springfield Slam!

JJJ hit the boards which was a good sign.  his O wasn't as good as I hoped but it's only the first game.

Joseph looked good in his limited minutes.

Just so you feel better, I looked it up... PJ3 (who everyone is going ape___ over was 7-17 (41%)... while PJ3 shot a better percentage (which is terrible % wise in the NBA much less summer league, as you say) they both ended with the same points, 16. Moore was a +9 (second highest on team behind xmas who had +15 and +6 was Fab in 3rd). PJ3 was a -8, tied for 3rd worse (all but 3 of their guys were a negative +/-)!

PJ3 had a good first half but all but disappeared in the second half as Sully came alive!

I'm not saying I would rather have either or but I think you are exaggerating when this is the first summer league game... where Moore has to run the offense and Perry just has to only worry about getting his own!

All I am saying is he was NOT abysmal and all you have to do is look at FACTS!

I think PJ3 has a ceiling comparible to Lamar Odom. I think he needs to be more alive on the defensive end, he is way too athletic to only be active when the ball is in his hands.

Sullinger was WAY more efficient den Moore. Moore took a high amount of contested ridiculous shots, Sullinger looked much more relaxed nd didnt force as much dats da difference feel me?

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
He defiantly looked terrible today and actually looked like he has gotten worse. He has almost no handle for a point guard and no first step.

Hopefully we bench him for the rest of the summer league because  him taking 16 shots is a joke.

he was terrible today but it was only game 1. I still say he and Williams will be gone along with JJJ in a sign and trade for someone.

6-12, yes, he was... like I said about PJ3, they only have to worry about coming down and getting theirs... Moore has to run an offense and if someone isn't open he then goes for his! Also he played about 1min less than Xmas (highest.. 3rd highest is tied at about 24mins)... if he was as abysmal as you guys are saying, he would have been pulled! Again, I am not saying he was good but he was not "abysmal" nor was he "terrible" (defense was not at all good... he won't get minutes b/c of that)! Marshon Brooks is another person you all clamor for... if Moore was on that wack team last season he could have average 13pts too while shooting as bad as Marshon (like 43% or something)...
