Williams is a longshot to make the roster, although marginally less of a longshot than he was before it looked like Stiemer was on his way out of town.  But, he's got to prove that he can contribute.  Fab Melo's the developmental big; Williams will be competing, likely with Hollins, to prove that he can be the 3rd-string center, a guy who can give you 10-15 minutes when someone's in foul trouble or on the second night of a back-to-back.  Williams is too old to be a developmental guy.
