according to a writer in minnesota, his agent said:

Quote
Stiemsma agent re: on-hold discussions with Wolves: β€œHe wants to play for Minnesota. Greg has a lot of patience.”

β€” Jerry Zgoda(@JerryZgoda)

keep in mind that minnesota borders wisconsin.
I'm going to have to burn my Stiemsma jersey too.

He wants to play for the Celtics more.

But if the Wolves are really offering him 3 million, I can't blame him for going there.  That's three times as much money and big money for a guy who might flameout to be a nothing.

cmon Roy, this is nowhere like the ray allen situation and you know it

Of course people are going to be upset that Ray allen made rediculous demands and then turned down the C's for less money and joined their rival..

steimer is getting offered more $$ than the C's are probably willing to pony up..good for him..guy was in the D-league 2 years ago and is now about to cash in.

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
If they are offering the most money than I can't blame him considering he was a d leaguer before last year.

Oh please. Triple the money for a guy that doesn't have a huge NBA career either ahead of him or behind him, after he spent a mere one year here and overachieved like a boss. Hardly anyone is going to do anything but wish Steamer the best in Minny. This is petty.

My turn to be petty: I can already tell that poking at the Ray Allen apologists is going to be almost as much fun as the Perkins Trade Haters. We've got Perkins v2.0 in Fab Melo, and I'm looking forward to July 11th when I can rub Jeff Green's contract in people's faces.

A S&T of Steimsma for Wes Johnson intrigues me.  They just signed Roy so Johnson's days are numbered anyways. Perhaps Doc and our vets can fulfill some of his #4 overall pick promise.

Of course Stiemsma wants to play for Minnesota ... Danny is making little-to-no effort to re-sign him. Minnesota are the ones that are showing strong interest in him. That they want him.

does anyone else think 3million$ for stiemsma is kind of a crazy offer from Minnesota?

I mean Steimer did perform well for Boston...but hes still a 26year old that was in the D-league 2 years ago and only performed well for 1season(playing next to garnett)

He often was subbing in for Garnett actually and if you look at what Asik just got and consider Steimer's numbers are very similar it's really not crazy at all.

I don't understand why Melo is Perkins 2.0. They're not really similar, in play, personality, or athletic abilities.

Arguing that Ray is doing what is best for himself on a personal level is ridiculous.  He is out for vengeance.
