Most of u have a problem with Ray joining the HEAT

not that he signed with another team

Terry yes situation was different.

But you dont think MAVS fans would be mad that he joined the Heat?

I am upset the Celtics lost Ray even though they offered the most money.

I'm sorry, but I think you are confused.  Jason Terry joined the Celtics, not the Heat.

im not trying to make what Ray did any right to celtics fans

just trying to show that this stuff can happen

It's fine that you're a big fan of Ray, and it must be frustrating to read all of the comments about him this weekend. You should seriously think about taking a break from this board for a day or two. I generally disagree with people who claim that the team's too old to compete, but at times the team will have a few (really) bad games in a row and I'll just stay off the blog for a day or two until the onslaught of venting/hand wringing is over.

Totally different.
The Mavs let Jason Terry go...didn't offer him anything.
Judas Allen left The Celtics for less money because he hates Rondo.
He's a freakin' Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline..

Terry and Dallas had already beat the Heat in the Finals.  Ray went to a rival he couldn't beat in the playoffs for 2 straight years.  He should carry Lebron, Wade and Bosh's suitcases and bags since he'll be their lackey.

What Allen did by agreeing to an undervalued contract was state that he NEEDS great players around him to succeed. He can no longer create his own shot and is willing to be an addition to a Big 3.  Funny, but he was a huge member of the Big 3 a few years ago.
We all think we know more than we really do....

We get it.  You love Ray.  We've all got our own personal Celtic heroes.  I guarantee you that if the day comes when Rajon Rondo is no longer a Celtic, I'll need some time off from this blog.

Just please don't go joining lbjubillee.com or something like that while you're mourning.

And, a TP for your loss.

I'm telling you, just come back on Tuesday or Wednesday. Most of the posts will be people ripping Danny for drafing the players that he did because undoubtedly one of the players that was still on the board when we drafted will go for 20 in a couple of Orlando or Vegas games.

Ray Allen was my favorite player. Not just on the Celtics, but out of everyone in the entire NBA. If you had asked me as recently as a week ago why this was, I'd give you some combination of "hard worker", "professional", "gentleman" etc as my reasons for feeling so. I say this first to establish my credentials as a fan of his.

After spitting in the face of the Celtics organization, and flipping the double bird to the Boston fanbase, Ray Allen is now dead to me. I have his jersey in my closet, where it will remain on a green plastic hanger until it decays into nothingness in the fullness of time.

So I understand where you are coming from, OP, and sympathize what you are trying to do by making Allen's replacement look like a Benedict himself. But the fact of the matter is, Terry did the right thing here, and was well and truly abandoned by his organization.

Ray is a scumbag hypocrite, not worthy of the measured, reasonable defenses that people have made here on his behalf. Sooner you come to the realization that you've been had, sooner you can move on, imo. I for one am very happy that there are now a lot of other people on the Bradley Bandwagon.
