FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF YEAH. I like how people are down playing this saying oh he's one dimensional, this and that... we have players for the defensive end, and that's Battier who can shoot form 3's too. Ray is perfect for RILEY'S VISION of the inside and outside game.

Now I hope we actually run plays for Ray. This just changes our whole dynamic in a very good way. And one more year of LBJ being better in the post too.

I'm happy with just this signing. If we can get Camby, all will be well.

I'm actually very surprised. I wanted Allen to join Miami and thought he would be a very good addition, but I thought he was just using the Heat as leverage to get his no trade clause. Riley does it again, another discounted player to add to this core.

I can't believe they think us New England folks are phoney. That is horsesh**. But anyway they sound like spoiled children. Beating that team in the playoffs is going to feel like us beating the Lakers in the Finals at this point.

  I like the guy who thinks Ray was a ring chaser for coming to Boston despite the fact that (aside from KG not being on the team at the time) he was *traded* to Boston, he didn't decide to go there on his own because he thought they were going to win the title. I guess that made Baby a ring chaser for getting drafted by the Celts...

Why post what these pathetic sports fans say? They are not even sports fans they are front runners who NOW watch the Heat because it's the thing to do in Miami now. They are part of the worst sports town in the country and what they say is irrelevant.

Definitely. But the ones who talk the most trash are the most bandwagoney ones.

Certainly true fans talk trash too. But not at the frequency that these people do. And at the end of the day, there's still mutual respect. Even among Celtics and Lakers fans.

There's just none of that at all with these folks. None.

Here's what i think about LeBron and the Heat

(to paraphrase Tupac)

Bein' real don't appeal to the brother in you.
You gotta operate the easy way.
"I got a ring today"
But you made it in a sleazy way.

That's just the way it is.  

The way LeBron, Wade and Bosh got together during international ball, like schoolgirls at a sleepover, to conspire to build a team the easy way,  instead of carrying their teams as franchise players, was such a punk move that any titles they win will always be tainted to me.  

If their fans don't recognize this, and feel their titles at least a bit cheapened, they don't understand what true competition really means.

How would the world feel about Larry Bird leaving Boston as a FA and going to play with Magic Johnson in 1983?  Of MJ, tired of getting beaten by the Pistons, conspiring to play with Drexler and Portland?  That's what Lebron James did to get his ring. Despite his wondrous ability, and his remarkable performance this past playoffs, I don't respect him.  I never will, either.

Can't help but notice those posts say more about their "fans" overall lack of knowledge of the game and its history then anything else. But you'd expect that with an organization whos reputation and success is built entirely on its weather and night life.

Our organization doesn't have those two selling points. Which makes me extremely proud of the players who do decide to come here. And the front office who works so tirelessly to get them. It says a lot about our organizations character. Some guys play for the love of the game and purely to win. That spirit embodies the Boston fans who will serenade you with "Lets Go C-E-L-T-I-C-S" chants in game six blowout loss's. Rather then leave the building.

The way this team is constructed its all falling into place, we have a upper tier PG, the best sixth man, 2 HOFers, Bosh and most likely Marcus Camby...where is the weakness?

Center - Camby/Anthony (If no S&T)/Pittman
Power Forward- Bosh/ FA signing (Brand??)
Small - Lebron/Battier/Miller/James Jones?
Shooting Guard - Wade/ RAY ALLEN/Cole
Point Guard - Chalmers/Cole/Free Agent Signing

You might think im shooting for the moon here, but that's the point! All records are made to be broken and I think the Bulls stand a great chance of losing that mark this year. LeBron hasn't peaked yet, Bosh is hitting his prime, Ray Allen is the greatest pure shooter of all time, and Wade is amazing. Don't forget about Rio who is making a Rondo like ascent on this title team. Ray will hate playing with him but will love the reward.

Love the Rondo comparison  ::)

If a Heat beat writer isn't making fun of Ray hating Rio or something then to me it isn't true.

If anything I remember the year before Ray having a long talk with Rio and it looked like a "you're learning, keep working" type of talk. This year they had what... just some technical stuff. Ray is a Heat player so I am sure his "hatred" for Rio isn't even that strong or it's just false.


And Ray to me, was the player I was always most afraid of on Boston. He hits so much clutch shots against us and we never keep a player on him. It's so annoying. Ray is also one of the most clutch people to me, we actually have a clutch THREE POINT shooter.

It just amazes me the things some Boston fans are saying still. From an outside look Ray was a freakin' beast and a huge threat to the Heat. Now it's Terry on Boston but meh, we're a different Heat team than in 2011 (different LeBron too...), so no big deal.

Here's how I see it .. it's like we won a game .. we don't rub it in ... let the losers have their tantrums and lets not get caught up in it. Seriously, why should it bother us if the C's are going to retire RayRay's jersey or not ... or if they say he was the most insignificant member of their big 3. We just don't care :)
