learn new things, become an expert in things you know, do new things, meet new people, travel, write, don't assume you can't learn things from people less "intelligent" than you.  Fail and learn from it.  Share your experiences.  Accept criticism. Don't show off.  Keep an open mind.

I know what you're saying, but as a Special Needs teacher and parent of a couple of young kids I learn things almost every day from people "less intelligent" than me.   Perspective, humility etc...

that was the idea - sometimes people shut others out because they feel they are above them, but in reality they aren't
