You're not going to sign both Terry and Camby when we only have the $5M MLE and vet-min contracts to offer.  I'd be shocked if either signs for much less than $5M/year.  Camby would be my priority; I think I'd rather have JET Terry than Ray Allen, but it'll be easier to re-sign Ray Allen and still offer the full MLE to Camby, than to try and split it between JET and Camby.

And signing JET *and* Ray Allen makes zero sense to me, unless Danny's going to trade AB while his value is still high.

JET is signed to be the back up PG to Rondo. He is also insurance if Bradley misses the first couple of months of the season.

He has in the past played the point.

We have the MLE ($5MM) and the BAE($3MM).

It is not Dallas' choice.  The roster I constructed has a much better chance to get a chip than Dallas.

think the opening night roster is:

1. Rondo
2. Bradley
3. PP
4. Bass
5. KG
6. Ray OR Nick Young
7. Peaches
8. Green
9. Sully
10. JJJ
11. Moore
12. Wolcox
13. Steamer
14. FA Big (Camby or Landry)
15. Dooling

Kris Joseph (spends most of the year in D League)

What about Fab Melo?

I don't think you can just throw Kris Joseph down in the D league without him being on your 15 contracted players.  If he's not one of your 15 contracted players, I believe any team can sign him whenever they please.

That said, I think our roster will look something like:

Rondo, Bradley, Pierce, Sullinger, KG (starters)
Ray, Green, Pietrus, Wilcox, Steimsma, Dooling, Melo (bench)
JJJ, moore, joseph (d-league or inactive)

If we want to (and can afford to) bring back Bass, we'd need to waive/not sign/not bring back one of those players.  My guess is it would be Moore, Joseph, or Wilcox.  I think this is our hope so we can start Bass and have Sullinger come off the bench.  I would be very happy if we can make that happen, but I think Bass will be looking for too large of a contract for Boston's liking.

If we can't bring back Ray, I expect us to fill that spot with one of Mayo or Terry.  I'm not that interested in Nick Young.

If we can't bring back Steimsma, I think we'll try to fill that spot with Camby or Kaman (or Bass if we have high hopes for Melo and Wilcox).

Finals Starters:  Jason Kidd - Reggie Miller - PJ Tucker - Al Horford - Shaq
Bench:  Rajon Rondo - Trae Young - Marcus Smart - Jaylen Brown -  Peja Stojakovic - Jamal Mashburn - Carlos Boozer - Tristan Thompson - Mehmet Okur

I'd like to add that I'm going to miss having Marquis on our bench.  He was always so enthusiastic and great for our team chemistry.  I can't think of any 12th or 15th men I'd prefer over him for the vet min.  I'd almost rather have him and waive Moore even though Moore is dirt cheap.

Doesn't the Dallas situation depend on what happens with Deron Williams?  If Dallas can pry away D-Will, will they have any $$ available to pay JET?  Won't they have to renounce JET's Bird rights to be able to sign D-Will?

Who the hell is "Peaches?"  What did I miss?

Oh, and Kris Joseph counts towards the 15-man roster, whether he's in Maine or not.  He and Moore are probably fighting for the last roster spot.  And, yeah, you need Melo on the list.

Will Pietrus have a spot with Green taking backup 3 minutes and ray and AB essentially all the 2 minutes? I don't see this happeneing.

Starters: RR, AB, Pierce, KG, Camby
Bench: Dooling(?), Ray, Green, Sullinger, Wilcox, Steamer,
Deep Bench/D League: Moore, JJJ (Hope not though), Melo

Bass won't have room here with KG staying more at the 4 and Green/Sully rounding out backup minutes
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Moore might not be back. It's all dependent on how he performs in Summer League, per Ainge.

Wilcox has been cleared for contact and full court work.
