Yeah, there's not a ton out there.

The only guy out of that list that would probably command more than the veteran minimum is Kwame who has carved out a solid niche as an okay backup big in this league. Lots of busts in NBA history but he's somehow found teams to give him chance after chance, will cost more than Camby. They need a defensive center with this team, I could care less if Camby scores 4 points a game as long as he hits the boards like he has in the past. Tired of watching this team get out rebounded by everyone every freaking year.

I know there is a large risk involved, but if he works out, can you name another player that could push the Celtics to another level out there like Oden could?

One more piece, Oden would be a huge boost against Chicago.  Come playoff time, they could be just as dangerous as Miami.  The Bulls size has really hurt the Celtics.

Considering the names being kicked about, I am somewhat surprised that our own Chris Wilcox isn't getting more consideration around here.  

Apparently we don't have Chris' Bird Rights so his situation is no different than any of the other guys mentioned from a cap perspective, but he's been around, knows the guys, and knows the system, and seemed to take to being a Celtic.  I like his versatility.  He can legitimately play both the four and the five.

Sure, Chris is an injury risk, but who on anybody's lists of potential veteran free agent centers isn't?

Or, what about trying to bring Curly back over from Russia?  I believe we actually still have his Bird Rights.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that, please.

If the Celtics resign Green, I don't think they will sign Wilcox as well.  Two guys coming off heart conditions?

i used to be excited about Wilcox but his injury history (shoulder, hamstrings, heart, etc) is too much for me. we need bulls like Bass who are younger and more injury proof.

Wilcox had a rough time early last season adjusting to his situation in Boston, but he was hitting his stride when the news about his heart came. I like Wilcox; he seems like a good teammate, and seemed to buy into the Celtic Way; he's athletic, likes to get out and run, can play above the rim, and is a good rebounder. I'd like to have him back, though I wouldn't mind also having Camby, who's good for 10 boards a game.
