I would love randolph for cheap on this team to bring some rebounding, shotblocking, athleticism with the vets to take charge of the offensive decision making and shot selection .

Randolph's per-minute averages are actually pretty solid.  Even last year... 7.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1 block 47% shooting in only 15 minutes a game is certainly not "terrible".  And again, he's playing the same position (PF) as Kevin Love (statistically the best in the league) and Derrick Williams (the #2 pick) so it makes sense why he couldn't get much opportunity.  

What's the deal with him?  What's the main knock on his game? He's 22 years old.  Look... I'm not putting money on it... but I'm totally not going to be shocked if this kid has a Jermaine O'Neal type of career... buried behind talent early in his career... goes elsewhere and finally lives up to his potential.  JO was 22 when he finally arrived in Indiana after playing on deep Portland benches.  Heh... they are even built the same way.

TP for the JO reference. Does Randolph wear his socks high like JO did?

Max vert: 35.0  ... Garnett already has Fab, Sully, JJJ, and Air-Stiemsma to mentor. He's only one guy , he can't mentor a whole team, i guess that's what coaches are for, come to think of it haha.

I've always like Beas' talent, I def think Brooklyn will be after him. A core of:

PG: D.Will
SG: Brooks?
SF: G.Wallace
PF: M.Beasley
C: B.Lopez

Could score in bunches. If they can get an offer together for D12, that's a team with a lot of potential.

I don't like Beasley on that team.

I think Michael Beasley and Brook Lopez will be bad for one another. Both need strong defender/rebounders alongside them. I think they'd bring the worst out of one another on the defensive end of the court.

MarShon Brooks is another shot-happy player and dodgy defender/rebounder. Then there is Deron Williams who needs a large amount of time on the ball to fully utilize his ability too. A lot of ball-happy players who I think will have trouble sharing with one another (Deron is the only real passer on the team).

For me, that is not a good mix. Not for player or team.

You squeeze every dime out of KG.

Plus if you have enough players, there's a chance more of them would pan out.

Too many raw big men on the roster already.

Danny can't -- or at least shouldn't -- go out and add another one.

More than anything else, Anthony Randolph needs minutes. He needs to go somewhere that will give him 27-32 minutes a night and let him get some game experience (which he sorely lacks and many of his mistakes are due to).

He can't get that on a title contender. Needs to go to a weaker team and one that will commit serious playing time to developing him.

Otherwise, it'll just be another in a list of bad situations.

Yeah but im not sure all those guys actually have real potential.  Randolph seems like a guy who can actual turn into a star in this league... sincerely doubt Stiesma or Fab Melo have that kind of potential.  And if JJJ isn't waiver wire material... isn't he a SF?

Regardless of what happens with Bass,
GO GET BEASLEY!   He is an offensive beast!
He'd give us leverage in signing Bass, and add a trade piece. And insurance in case there are any injuries.
