No love for our 2nd rd pick ?

Not sure how he does it, but it seems Ainge always finds true value in the 2nd round more often than not.  I think this year isn't any different.

Time will tell, but Kris Joseph was a great value pick at #51, all things considered.

4 year college player, played on a winning team, scorer, can defend, athletic, good outside shot....Great opportunity for Joseph here with the C's.  He can easily be the upgrade & replace Marquis Daniels & Sasha's spot on the roster.

Like Sullinger & Melo, I have my eye on this talent as well.  He's no slouch by any means.

I actually like the pick better than Melo or Sullinger.   No weaknesses but the kid can play.  Does he have as much upside as Melo or Sullinger?   Nope.   But it is not a risky pick at all and marksmanship is always at a premium.

I liked Joseph more his first two years in college.  He's lost athleticism since then.  He also never become a consistent enough shooter.  I think of him as the SF version of E'twaun: an average athlete for his position without one skill that stand outs.  I would've preferred someone like Hollis Thompson since he was at least an outstanding percentage shooter from 3 in college, although him going undrafted doesn't help my point.

I think he'll be a rotation player eventually but I wouldnt be surprised if hes on the claws this year for development and roster space, especially with the new celtics/red claws deal

I heard he was great athletically?

I also heard that he would have been in the 20's in the 2011 draft.

I'm no expert and I tend to like rookies too much though.

I'll be curious to see if Joseph makes the roster.  It won't shock me if the team prefers more proven talent on a vet minimum contract.

I don't know much about him. Only briefly read what Draftexpress had written about him. It didn't jump out to me like a profile of a guy who will make it in the NBA.

Mediocre scorer, mediocre shooter, sub-par rebounder, good but unexceptional athlete, limited ball-handler / passer, unclear how value he is defensively because of Syracuse's zone defense but has enough size and athleticism to be a solid defender.

I would prefer to see Danny cut him loose and sign a reliable veteran. Too many project-like players on the team already (JJJ, Fab Melo, Stiemsma and maybe Moore = 4/5 roster spots).

Then again, I wanted and expected Danny to do the same with E'Twaun Moore last year and he didn't so maybe Kris Joseph will be on the team also this coming season.

I don't think he'll carry Moore and Joseph.

If he proves in camp he can defend small forwards well, i believe he'll stick. If not, he'll be playing in italy next season.

He could amybe take Sasha's spot, but I don't think JJJ, Moore, and Joseph all make it.

He also has Sean Williams on a vet min contract next year too.
