Quote
"There is a good chance (both Garnett and Allen return to the Celtics)," Smith says. "From what I am hearing, I spoke with a few sources yesterday, they tell me there's a very good chance Kevin Garnett will remain with the Boston Celtics and that Ray Allen will as well. Regardless of these rumors you're hearing about him potentially going to Miami. They are aware of the fact that he wants to see what's out there, he wants to test the market, he wants to feel good abut whatever decision he makes. He doesn't want to shun everybody else and just re-sign with Boston, but money isn't necessarily a top priority. He wants to be in a very comfortable situation for both him and his family."

I really don't have much doubt that they will both be back. KG at 8-10 mil, Ray at 3 or 4 mil

Makes the most sense for all involved.  They're veterans - they want to be comfortable, and the Celtics provide them with that environment.

Tonight we draft a good player or two, hit the FA market for needs, and I think we're set.  Miami is NOT that far ahead of us.  A healthy team with a few extra pieces and we're good...

Let the other teams rebuild and get stuck in NBA hell...I'd rather reload.

Depending on how you define "good chance", of course there is.
Celtics fan for life.

This makes sense to me. And I wouldn't be surprised if KG and Ray received no trade clauses.

Oh no!! I remember someone posting something recently to the effect that they were waiting for what Stephen A. Smith has to say on the subject, and then expecting the opposite to happen.

SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas

it's weird hearing a report from stephen a. smith that isn't being shouted loudly in your face.

I don't know if they'd want this, but I suppose they could always waive it, right? If things aren't going according to plan and we are really struggling, then it might make sense for both sides to just move on at the deadline.

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger

Would love to see the Big 3 + Rondo starting with a good center this year. If we could load up the bench like in 08 if gives us a great chance at another deep postseason run.

Can't we just bring Gerald Green back?

they're too old for that not looking to bounce around KG of everybody, pretty sure that's the last thing they want.

Yeah it just gives KG, RA veto power. They could only allow a trade to a contender. That would some good security, respect. And then we're only talking about a contract that lasts 1 or 2 years.

That's nothing more than a logical thought by Stephen A. That's what I'm assuming until I hear otherwise.

Thats bad news... normally anything he has to say is backwards from what the true is.  ::)

I would sooner believe a palm-reader.

I'm sure Steven A. got this "info" from his good friend Le-BRON Jaaames.  ;D
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.
