Congrats to Rondo2287 for the Co-Defensive award and congrats to the remaining awardees!

IndeedProceed deserves many TPs, as well as the judges.

To be honest, I thought that my team deserved SOME votes for Best Overall, but it's all good :).

Perhaps next year we can open this back up to Larry, Charles, Cooz, Hondo, Michael, etc....

I ended up voting for the Heat as the best team.  I just loved that starting lineup.

Rebus put a pretty awesome team together. Started out with two great pieces, built a contender.

As man and also great thanks to Roy, Fafnir, mgent, and freshinthehouse. Thanks for taking the time to weigh in on our silly little charade, enabling us by lending some air of legitimacy by making us think other people care about this.

  • Yup
congrats to the winners and to all for having a good time with this

excellent work running the show IP

...and I couldn't agree more with your assessment of the Hawks' management.  I'm pretty much the best at this, and it was kind of wdleehi to just step aside and let me do my thing.

 ;D
Yup

Good job guys, I think everybody's teams were extremely even and much closer together than last year's draft.  I always give full disclosure on my votes so if anyone's curious:

Best Offensive Team:
1. 76ers
2. Celtics
3. Spurs

Best Defensive Team:
1. Lakers
2. Knicks
3. Pacers

Best Overall Team:
1. Knicks
2. Celtics
3. Hawks
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Might I suggest next year we go any player from any year as long as they were not a top ten pick in the draft.  That would eliminate most of the all time greats, but would still provide a lot of very strong teams and interesting options.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip
