Is it possible for the Celtics, or any team under the cap, to sign a player to a two year deal with unbalanced numbers?

For example, sign KG for $14,000,000 next season, and $2,000,000 the season after that?
"All I have to know is, he's my coach, and I follow his lead. He didn't have to say anything in here this week. We all knew what we had to do. He's a big part of our family, and we're like his extended family. And we did what good families do when one of their own is affected." - Teddy Bruschi

The NBA did away with balloon payments a while ago. I believe the current rules require the salary to remain within 4-7% going up or down (if the team has bird rights you can go as high as 7%).
