  • You say when......
Anyone wanting to STILL trade rondo....well, how can i say it without picking on someone.....?

Rondo is sooo good, most teams would think the Celts are losing thier minds to lose him...and we have him for small money too.......he is a runner, and a fast player, and he did great with a group of guys that cannot run....THINK, if we had a healthy guy....ONE....or TWO that could run and play with a little skills....he made wilcox look like superman...he makes everyone better...he is the perfect CELTIC..magic loves him, cousy, tommy...bird....the heat coach.....all teams think he is great..and we have posters that still blame him because our guys miss open shots....a lot...and cannot run or the caoch tells them to not rebound.....there are PLENTY of other things to fix here....#1 is get rid of the coach....promote him up out of the way...ANY coach that thinks REBOUNDING and BOXING out are for other teams...is not a coach.

I guess the main motivation to get DWill would be if you hate Doc Rivers so much you want a player who will force him into retirement. Outside of that I have zero desire for DWill over Rondo.
As said above, DWill is a better scorer. And that is it.
The joy I get in watching Rondo play is unmatched by anyone in the league. His sense of the game, his innovations, are remarkable.
And to think he gets lambasted for the same reasons KG gets praised blows my mind.
Rondo now and Rondo forever.

If the Celtics could package Rondo for a top young big man and then sign Williams, sure thing.

Outside of that, I rather keep Rondo for now and see if this playoffs has upped his "I want to play with that guy" factor.

Yea that makes the most sense.

I would dangle Rondo for Dwight and see it Orlando would bite after the type of playoffs Rondo just had . Rondo trumps anything that NJ could offer for Dwight because they were dumb and traded away their lottery pick for gerald wallace.

If we could land dwight and Deron(as a free agent) for Rondo and a pick or 2 I would go that route, otherwise I am keeping Rondo.

Not hating on Rondo , I love the guy,it's the off-season just trying to get my mind off of last nights loss .

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I got nothing against Deron Williams' skills. What I don't like is his mentality of quitting when things are going down. Plus he's not better defensively.

Plus, be careful of what you wish for. Rondo with MarShon Brooks and Crash Wallace running the floor, Gerald Green too, add a solid finisher in Humphries, Brooklyn would be dangerous. Too dangerous for our own.

What's with all the trade Rondo for Dwight Howard talk?  I may be missing something (so if I am, someone please enlighten me), but did Orlando just go through everything they went through last year, and then finally break down and re-sign Howard and fire the coach and the GM just to play the same game again this up coming season?

If Howard asks to be traded again this coming season, then he's a bigger numb skull than I already thought he was.  If the Magic look to trade him, then they are bigger numb skulls than I already thought they were.

Personally, I'd like to see Deron Williams end the nonsense by signing with his buddy down in Orlando this off-season.  The madness must end!!!

D. Williams is not coming to the Celtics.  He willmost likely either be a Net or a Mav.  We don't need a PG anyway....

I agree with this, too. I definitely love Rondo and want him to remain a Celtic forever. I would even like to find a way to keep him with Howard, but that may be impossible. Trading Rondo for a top 3-5 player in the game [and the best big man in the game] is really the only trade I would consider. The reason I would accept it is because you would most likely get Deron, too.

I know this has been discussed before, but the question you would have to ask yourself is, would you rather have Dwight and Deron or Rondo and some cap space. Any one other than Dwight, Lebron, or Durant I am not interested in.
