It breaks my heart to see him like this. I hope Celtics can bring him back for lesser role. Keep ya head up Ray. The classiest player in the NBA

The issue is whether or or not HE is willing to except a lesser role / lesser money. If he is, then absolutely bring him back.

I love Ray too, but it is time for him to go.  Here is his playoff Efficiency Rating for the playoffs:

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/ray_allen/  (9.25 ER).

That means that 70 other NBA players had higher ER's than Ray in this year's playoffs!!

I agree it's time to break away from the Big 3 era, but don't forget the ankles.

Throw Ray's 2012 playoff stats out the window.

he needs to play less during the year and take less money.  probably won't be willing to though

Ah man my feelings exactly.  Him on the podium holding back the emotion.  Ah man, that sucks for us.  I love Ray Allen.

Ray has been my favorite. Such class. I am really having a hard time tonight

One year, $5 million as a sharp shooter off the bench.  Or $8m for two.

I'm not going to believe that until I hear it from Ray himself.

I think Boston is probably on the top of his list listening to his press-conference.

Allen is not going to just stand still in a corner waiting for Lebron/wade to kick it out like he's battier or jones...
