If the Celtics get it done the trade that sent Perkins to OKC comes full circle as he'll be right there snarling at our guys in green! Even more of a crazy twist of fate is if Jeff Green was suiting up this season......

Or Ray Allen burying the Thunder, redeeming the city of Seattle.

My friends here in Seattle are distraught right now.  My best friend ( a former hardcore Sonic fan) will be rooting for Boston even harder than I will if we manage to beat Miami (I still say miami wins the next two easily tho).... For my friends here it is still deeply personal... As much as following a sports team can be.  I know that most everyone outside of Miami arguably is rooting for Miami to lose... That pales in comparison to how badly Seattle fans want okc to suffer.  My friend suggested that okc fans were the least deserving in all of basketball and it's tough to disagree.  They had exactly one lotto year and it didn't matter because they already had durant and westbrook on board... Since then they have had one 1st round exit, a wcf exit... And now this.  The hell with okc and their front running fans.

I definitely feel for Seattle fans! I loved a picture that went viral on twitter of a group of Sonics fans in Seattle gear holding up "we've been here from the start" signs......

Seattle got completely screwed by (the now) OKC ownership. OKC also got insanely lucky with ping-pong balls to get their core. It's not that hard to build a great team quickly if you have 3 top-4 picks (and 4 top-5 picks when Green was still there) in the course of just a few seasons. I have no positive feelings for that team. I don't dislike them like the Heat...but no positive feelings.

I didn't know how to phrase it but you kind of describe how I feel about the Thunder as well. Even though Perk, Harden and Durant are awesome players, Westbrook really loses points. If it wasn't for Westbrook I'd root for the Thunder (not against the C's of course).

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves though. Gotta cheer extra hard for our guys! The Heat still think they have a chance. Let's destroy them and send them away from the finals where they don't belong!

KG being matched against Perkins would be so ironic.

But Ray Allen going in and making Clay Bennett want to return to Seattle would be nice.

Because of the former Sonics fans in Seatle people on this board dislike OKC? Strange very strange. I like OKC. If we meet them in the finals i hope we sweep them but i'd still like OKC. What do I care about the fans in Seatle?

Durant and Collison are the two most likable players on that roster I think.

I too find it hard to root for that ownership.

Eh... not only do I hate OKC, because their fans haven't earned anything and my friends in SEattle are devastated... but I also am rooting against OKC for more Celtic-centric selfish reasons.  I love Durant.  Part of me is still p---ed we ended up with the 5th pick in 2007.  Would I trade the last 5 years of being a contender for the next 12 years the Thunder will be a contender with Durant?  Eh... probably not.  If Durant ends up winning multiple championships (starting with his first this year at age 23), it makes it a little tougher to stomach... especially considering we might be a perennial lotto team for the foreseeable future (if KG retires).

For multiple reasons, I'll be rooting for whoever comes out of the East... whether it's the Celtics or the Heat.

Just think if the situation was reversed, and your beloved Celtics were sold up the river and moved to Little Rock Arkansas and stole your history and your banners, because David Stern wanted to do his new owner buddy a favor.

I never cared about the Sonics or their fans, but what happened to them was just flat out evil. I don't root for evil.
