my favorite part was actually the bounce pass to Pierce

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZctckNEKkNQ

The thing is that's a pass he makes on a regular basis. Those guys that don't see him play a lot marvel over plays like that and talk about him being the only player in the league that could make that pass.  A lot of the people who see him play all the time think it's a simple pass that any good point guard could make because he makes it look so pedestrian.

I know a lot of players can do that, its just I like bounce passes between players... :P

I mean, the other play was also good because it shows his leadership and basketball IQ...I'm a sucker for fancy plays lol

You know a lot of players that can make a low skip pass past a 1st team nba defender to a spot on the floor to hit his teammate cutting inbetween two defenders in full transition huh?

I know about 2 or 3 besides rondo, and they are guys like parker, nash, and paul.
I don't think that is a particular hard pass for NBA players who are good passes so long as they know the man is coming. That is the whole point of bounce passes. They are out of reach of defenders.

Only a slim percentage of the leage can 1. See that angle and 2. Put the bounce in that small of a window WITH english on it to softly land in Pierce's hand. You are underselling that pass.

I'm sure there are a lot of NBA players who can get lucky every once in a while and make a Rondoesque pass.  But, there are none who have the vision, the touch, the confidence, and the floor leadership abilities to make them as consistently and as effortlessly as Rajon Rondo.

Can anyone argue that Rajon Rondo is not the best passer in the game today?  This guy drops dimes like a philanthropist on skid row.

And he can give you 44 when needed!  Let's trade him for Jose Calderon or Steph Curry.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

This^.  I completely agree with anyone that says this was a difficult pass.  I've played a lot of basketball in my day and to make that pass on the fly with a split second to think about it is amazing when it lands on the finger tips in stride.  Watch it full speed, slow it down, and then watch it again.  From his angle to set the man up in stride is serious precision, poetry in motion.

I'm more impressed with Rondo flashing a  little Sherman Douglas floater recently.

I really liked the 2 +1 Pierce on Wade and Lebron on KG block.

Just as impressive as the actual pass is the latest example of Rondo's brilliance at leading the delayed break. He knows these guys running with him can't get up the floor like he can but Rondo is excellent at attacking a still setting up defense on the delayed break like this play. Much like the "wave the guy to the basket" Rondo pushes players to get into the position for an easy layup or an open three on the second wave of the fast break. So many players would either force it to the basket themselves or circle out to the top and set up the offensive set in this instance.

Rondo is the MVP of the playoffs

I agree off the bat...Until I looks at Garnett's crazy defensive numbers. To the casual fan and the majority of the league i would see Rondo as the mVP of the playoffs for our team... However, Garnett's number are uncanny and he is truly the most valuable asset to our team currently.

Part of KG's value is based on how poorly Steamer and Hollins are playing, though. KG's playing great defense, but not wildly better than he's historically played.

true either or id choose i mean without Rondo or KG they are already setting up vacation plans and were talking the offseason

both been ridiculous Rondo doing it ALL and KG has just been beast defensively Wade and James want no part of him when he is near that rim
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk
