mike breen is an absolute joke.

"and i know what the celtics fans are saying: that happened to us"

I like JVG for always being partial, nonbiased, and speaking his mind while also including his basketball knowledge/intelligence.

Both could go imo. Both are biased, Breen especially and offer little. Try listening to the game with no sound, its actually better.

Yeah. I had the audio off for three quarters and it was just stunning how far Mike Breen is in the tank for Miami. Not quite as far as Ed Malloy and Tom Washington, but pretty far in the tank.

JVG is good.  They should fire Breen and put SVG and JVG in the same booth.... Breen is horrible.

Breen is fantastic. As is JVG. Along with Marv and Gorman, I wouldn't want to listen to anyone else.

What's wrong with that? He's right.

I'm not a big Mike Breen fan, but Jeff Van Gundy is about the only national color commentator that I can bear to listen to.

You are going to compare a game changing no call shot to the face from  Wade in overtime with 1 minute left in a tie game to LeBron barely getting tapped in the top of the head in a blow out? Breen said it right? ?? Wow.

Breen is horrible to listen to, and is a Miami LJ homer.
Would WAY rather have Kerr or Reggie or anyone else.

Might as well listen to the Miami broadcasters as that clown. He's so far gone for the Heat its ridiculous.

Good lord. Talk about taking something too seriously. He was saying it in jest.

I wholeheartedly endorse this strategy. Turn the volume down to near mute levels, and the games are much more enjoyable to watch.

I find Breen absolutely insufferable as a play-by-play guy. Van Gundy at least provides the occasional astute basketball observation mixed with self-deprecating humor.

RIGHT?

JVG is less biased but you can clearly tell where his paycheck is coming from.

Van Gundy is as good as it gets for National Broadcasting, if you don't like him it only goes downhill from there.

As for Breen, I really used to like him but he is just brutally bad now, total company man and still delivers every line with faux surprise as if he just walked out of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
