"I also hate that he finishes almost exclusively lefty."

He just turned 19. Two years younger than Bradley and Terrence Ross, and a year younger than Rivers and Waiters.

Possibly trading him in the future would have to be part of the equation if Danny drafts him.

I'd rather take a chance on Wroten developing a left and limiting turnovers than Rivers growing an inch, becoming a more athletic defender, and playing within a team concept.

I guess drafting at 21, even in this awesome draft, requires serious projection of flaw development.

I think he's a good prospect that all though is a ways away could help the team down the road. I just don't like the fit drafting a combo guard when we already have Avery and Rondo. I'm of the mind set that you want to have young players at every position to ensure your future. I hope he is gone before we pick so someone else who is a better fit for us gets pushed back.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

New Wroten interview and workout video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IVL29Vulio

It doesn't tell me a whole lot, but it obviously wouldn't be surprising if his jump shot was improved since the season ended, since he's working out with Brandon Roy and is still so young.

At 6'6.5" or taller in shoes, he's also going to be a force posting up smaller guards and getting to the line.

He and Rondo on the court could work together if we had good outside shooters at 3, 4, and 5. Pierce, Nicholson, and Garnett can all stroke it, and both Rondo and Wroten can get to the rim at will when the paint is cleared out. Plus Rondo is becoming a more consistent shooter as he emerges as the true alpha male on this team.

In all the Washington games I watched, I hardly saw any pick and rolls run for Wroten. Pierce, Garnett, and Nicholson would all be good at pick-and-roll and pick and pop, and Wroten has the vision to find the big as the defense collapses around him.

Plus, Pierce, Garnett, and Nicholson all have good hands and bb IQs. Wroten had a lot of turnovers as an 18 yo freshman, but one or two of those every game was a great pass that his teammates weren't looking out for or didn't have the good hands to catch.

Combine coming up this week or weekend or something. If Wroten plays well, there's talk he could go #10 to NO to pair with Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon if he stays. Wroten has experience and apparently chemistry with the smart, good handed Davis from the Jordan Brand Classic. I'd love to get my hands on that whole game tape. Speaking of the Ryan Mallet comparison, tall quarterbacks have the benefit of being able to see passing routes over the linemen.

Wroten's height also gives him a huge advantage to see the floor, because he is taller than most other PGs. I just learned Wroten's father played in the NFL at tight end, so it explains his football physique and mentality.

Here's some cool courtside video of Washington vs UCSB. Not the highest competition, but there are a few plays where we see the court from Wroten's perspective and his vision and height advantage are well illustrated:

Jump to 13:23 16:05 (and next 2 minutes for 2 Derrick Rose impersonations), and 31:30 for a Wroten eye view of his vision, height advantage, and need for big men with good hands/finishing ability. His assist numbers would have been higher, and his turnover numbers lower, with NBA talent around him:
