That was a tough team we beat. It was only a few years ago when that was the Bulls. I think this Philly team can get to that level in a few years. This series will help them turn the corner.

Brand, Holiday, Iggy, the Villain, Allen, Lou... they all came to play and refused to quit.

Philly played pretty good "D" on Pierce and never let him go off and take the game over...but they also had the help of the refs .

Still cudos for Philly knocking off  "DA BULLs"

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Mucho respect to la oh Allen, Elton brand, and jrue holiday.
I think they all played above their usual this series, and you could tell.

Respect to iggy and his stupid midrange daggers and once a game momentum destroying dunks.

Less respect to lou Williams and hawes

It was hard to hate this sixers team, they are a well coached group of good players who play hard and as a team, with no ego issues or jerks. They played a great series and gave us all we could handle, much respect to them.

The games on the other hand, were totally ugly to watch and I hope we never go through a series like this again

hoping they sustain the toughness they have acquired all through the playoffs, they are in the mold of the 2006 clippers, athletic and promising, but faded soon enough the next season, curiously, elton brand are on both teams, the 76ers now and the clippers then...hats off to them...

I respect the Sixers.  This was a great season for them.  They won a playoff series and came very, very close to seeing an Eastern Conference Finals.

Having said that, I think they overachieved.  They got here with defense, balls, and luck.  Unless they find or develop some scorers who can reliably put points on the board at an efficient rate, I don't think they'll get much better.

They are one superstar away from becoming a title contender. If they can somehow move up in the draft without dumping much with the current core, they can evolve into a threat in the eastern conference.

What is, 'things people have been saying about Philly since 2008'

Okay, I'll take 'Potpurri' for $500

Well-coached team and very disciplined. Their defensive intensity is a GREAT primer for MIA.

Lebron is an elite defender, but Iggy really prepped Paul for the next series.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I admired their team very much. I didn't hate anybody but I certainly thought they were all, as Doc put it: "A pain in the butt". We could never shake this team. It was phenomenal. I respect them a whole lot. They were very scrappy and I felt all throughout the series that they could upset us.

Also, I want to say that Doug Collins has done an outstanding job with this team and every time they had him on the mic, he was a great motivator. Plus when they put the man on postgame interviews, the man was a class act. He said plenty of great things about the Celtics tonight. If the Celtics weren't in it, I would have had no problem cheering on Philly.

They certainly fought hard but if we'd been reasonably healthy they'd have been lucky to have won 1 game against us.

Anyone else think Philly is a Pau Gasol trade away from being a Finals contender?
