http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2012/05/disgruntled-lowry-feels-its-his-time-to-move-on/

First off, big Lowry fan here. Binky big.

Looks like Lowry has reached 3 conclusions:

1) he sees Goran Dragic as an NBA quality starter, not with malice, just as a fact.

2) He believes that Dragic and he could not exist on the same team, cuz they both deserve a starting role

3) he doesn't seem to much care for Kevin Mchale, and he belies that the rockets are going to resign Dragic

It's early yet, but it looks like the best PG nobody is talking about (besides me) is on the move.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I traded for your binky for DJ Augustin + current 2nd + next years 1st and they agreed on NBA 2k12. Maybe Charlotte should do the same in real life. I believe that's fair value if you add another player on CHarlotte's side.

Should they deal Kemba to someone else as well?

we're basing of my NBA 2k12 game here. I kept Kemba and made him my scorer of the bench (my Jason Terry)

I don't believe that Houston would do the Lowry for Augustin + picks deal unless there's more that Charlotte has to give. But say they do accept it, Kemba can be a sixth man.

Yeah, I did see that it was based on a 2k12 simulation. I just wonder if Kemba would be wasted on the bench in that case. He's starting caliber from what I see.

Yes he is. He's probably the only guy on that roster that deserves to stay if the Bobcats are doing a major overhhaul.

But with Lowry, you gotta put him in the bench. He'll still  get his minutes but Lowry has to start.

I like that Rockets team.  It's too bad Lowry is disgruntled.

I really like both Lowry and Dragic.  Too bad...

I think Dragic would be a great combo guard off the bench in a 3-guard, even minutes rotation, a true 6th man (starting caliber player off the bench).  The hard part these days is paying a bench player like a starter, though.

Nah, not yet.

Houston will keep them together until the trade deadline or even unit next summer before breaking them up. Only way they do it now, this summer, is if (1) the trade fits into acquire a franchise star strategy (2) Lowry demands a trade.

Which is what I'd like to see Lowry do - be more forceful here and demand a trade if Dragic is brought back. Be more outright about his own desires. He is being too much of a gentleman ... it's not going to help matters for him. Houston are going to look at this (and rightly so) and feel they can talk him down and keep their talent. That this isn't a serious situation. That he can be handled and that they can keep their talent plus take as long as they wish (6-18 months) before breaking up that PG combo.

Lowry needs to make them feel otherwise for the good of his own career. He needs to be more forceful and demand a trade. Not wishy washy his way about it.

Interesting piece of information as we move forward. Big fan of Lowry's game myself.

Proves my long-held belief that we can find a PG if Danny wants to unload the problem child in the off-season.

Sure, we can find a PG.  We probably can't find one as good as Rondo, though.

It makes sense though. Dragic has played great ball for the rockets. Lowry is better than a bench player but i think Dragic fits that team better so he is kinda stuck. Maybe Lowry heads Orlando to keep Howard happy or is somehow involved in a big overhaul where the Lakers trade Gasol for Lowry and pieces then ship Sessions somewhere else.
