A lot of people are being particularly harsh on the guy, not realizing that he's important to have out there, even if he isn't 100%, because he provides us with much needed space. But, beyond that, a lot of people aren't crediting this guy's toughness enough.

He knows his shot isn't where it needs to be, and with 3 days rest heading into game 7, I fully expect him to have a huge Game 7, effectively silencing a lot of his current critics. Called it.

We've been expecting him to play a great game since Game 4.  I'd say start MP over Ray in Game 7

Ray Allen couldnt throw a word into my mouth if he was less then a foot away.

He cant shoot. He needs to retire after the season. Save his ankles for walking so he doesent end up a cripple when his careers over.

we saw the spacing he provided tonight... the Sixers clogged the paint as he couldn't hit a shot for his life. he's been like that the whole series. watching him play is like "dying a slow death", it's so obvious...

too much jinx and envy from all around the league when we won the title in 2008 has brought so much bad luck on this team with all those injuries it's ridiculous...

And he did finish...

I'd tend to agree with all of this.  I think we win Game 7.

And then lose in 5 to Miami or Indiana.  Perhaps 4.

Let's hope this is the one that proves prophetic.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I'll be hungry the whole Saturday because I want this to happen. Ray Allen is stinking. I'd live for Moore to get a burn if Ray plays like this.

We lose Game 7 if Ray plays like this. You stinking the joint Ray.

Please, PLEASE let me eat my words.

  • GOT IT!!!
Could happen, sports can be a unpredictable thing. It's not about one game though. His body isn't going to let him play his game. That hurts the C's big time.

Allen is not done.  He's injured and should be playing fewer minutes.
Ray's defense has been okay, but we're losing the game on effort plays
and energy and hustle.  We won't win that intangible with Pierce and Ray playing together for long stretches.  Start Pietrus and use plenty of Sasha too.

Play Ray shorter minutes and tell him to go nuts.  It's the only way to beat younger stronger teams like the Heat and Ok. City.

I think Ray still has a good role to play in this year's playoffs but I would like to see him moved back to the bench (in favour of Pietrus starting) and see his minutes reduced (a 20 minute a night player rather than a 30 minute a night player).

Doc is asking too much of Ray and it's hurting the team.

Avery Bradley is so much better than Ray Ray at this point.
