Ginobili in the starting lineup tonight.

Not sure if I like the move. I know Green played poorly and lost the confidence but I really liked Manu coming off the bench.

But hey, who am I to question Pop

I think it's Pop's way to counteract Scotty Brooks putting Thabo Sefolosha on Tony Parker.

He wants to make Russell Westbrook work defensively to slow him down offensively. I saw a stat after one of the games (game three I think) that said San Antonio ran 97 pick and rolls in the game and 70 of them were against Westbrook.

So I'd expect whoever Westbrook is defending to run a lot of PnRs. Starting off on Ginobili.

I don't know about this small-ball lineup from San Antonio.

DeJuan Blair at center alongside Jacks, Green, Neal and Parker. Meanwhile, Oklahoma have their three big guns on the floor alongside Collison and Fisher.

Looks to me like OKC have two big matchup advantages (Durant and Harden) and San Antonio have none plus zero interior help defense. Bad things should follow.

That's a good point.

Didn't think of that cause I feel that even when Manu doesn't start he and Parker spend a lot of time together on the floor

Spurs look out of sync tonight. They sure could use some nasty now

Yeah need splitter or Duncan on the floor.

  • You say when......
Looks like okc figured out how to play with SA..and their youth and athleticism seems to be able to outlast and  outscore SA.....Ibaka gets hot....westbrook, durant, sefalocia, Harden..perk...( still getting those T's ) but looking better...no way the heat could compete with okc......us...the C's...it would be difficult...they are big, young and fast..and very talented.......coming from the West, they are almost like an 80's Lakers team...! Putting sefalocia on parker killed SA.....

Oklahoma's defense cranking up the pressure.

They are capable of so much more defensively than they have shown this season.

San Antonio falling apart.

They can't afford to let this deficit to balloon to 15+ points by halftime.

There is a LOT of BAD reffing here too...and I care less about who wins.....so i am unbiased...THIS time..LOL. OKC is getting beat up by the refs.....a lot of weird, odd, and mostly non-existant fouls.....i would actually fire ALL of these refs, clear them out and their union.....when this league gets to the point that you have to know the NAMES of the refs to wonder what kind of game they will call....the refs have become too prominent.......

Thunder withstood that Spurs run and returned the favor. Durant is on another level now. He helped stem the tide.
