They did the coin flips today and the Clippers beat out Atlanta.

players in the 15 range that I would trade both picks for in this draft would be

1)Myers Leonard
2)Austin Rivers
3)Perry Jones
4)Terrence Jones

C's would have to be getting a 2nd rd pick back in return I would think.

Otherwise if we keep both picks I want 2 out of these players

1)Terrence Ross
2)Royce White
3)Moe Harkless
4)Dion Waiters
5)Arnett Moultrie

I would be really pumped if we got a combo of White or Harkless and Ross or Waiters

I think we should trade the picks, two picks in a row at 21 and 22 would be real nice for a team like Charlotte or New Orleans.

Oh those Cetics!  They're my second favorite team to the Celtics. :)

I still think we must be thinking about drafting Rivers possibly if we move up.

I would love to see Perry Jones or Meyers Leonard as well if moving up, would also take Sullinger if available.

Also confirmed through Faf's link is that the Celtics lost their 2nd round pick from Milwaukee and only have the 51st pick in the 2nd round.

I also see all the same players mentioned(by some of the same people over and over again) both here and on the mock draft sights.

These mock draft sites have been constantly wrong when guessing who Danny would pick over the years(I think the last consensus correct interest/pick was the C's getting Rondo all those years ago). If I remember right only 2 mock drafts had the Celtics taking JJJ last year(on being hardlyyardly's that he does here every year).

I get the funny feeling the the C's will go in a different direction and not be drafting the same old names we are seeing mentioned on this site so often(Royce White, Austin Rivers, Joe Harkless, Dion Waiters, etc).

Two players I would watch if they fall is Jeremy Lamb and Myers Leonard(some players fall out of the top 15 into the 20's every single year). Another player I think is the type of player Danny loves is someone a lot of people are predicting in the second round, Draymond Green.

I wouldn't trade our picks for any single pick in this draft other than #1 or #2 (Beal).

Harkless could be as good as MKG, Ross could be as good as J Lamb, White could be as good as Sullinger, Festus could be as good or better than Leonard, Waiters could be as good or better than Rivers, Wroten could be as good or better than Marshall or Lillard, etc.

I'm thrilled, and the teams drafting ahead of us are jealous that we will be double dipping in this excellent pool of talent.

Great news! You never know when 1 pick higher can be the difference between drafting a Granger over a Green.

SO far i want to hold both picks (instead of trading for say a #16). I think there will be a slider or 2 in the early 20's.

I think a #21 and a #22 if packaged together to move up could net you something in the late lottery #11-14 pick range.

According to Gary Washburn we can still defer the pick
Quote
Gary Washburn: Remember, the #celtics don't have to take #clippers pick for 2012 draft but it is believed they will. Pick is top 10 protected until 2016

I would just take it this year though because I love having back to back picks to draft the 2 players we want . Back to back picks in the early 20's of a deep draft can also be great chips if trying to make a deal. The c's will have so much cap room that they could take back a 10 mil+ salary player for the picks or they could use the picks to try and move up to the 13-16 range.

I only package the picks if I can land a Josh Smith type player or if I can move up in the draft to grab Myeres Leonard,Austin Rivers, Perry Jones.
