I view Lebron as a nice guy with a touch narricism and cockiness. But this commercial shows a different side of him, makes him seem humble
I know he was probably paid for to do this commericial, but I sense the sincerity. A+ Lebron!

It's a commercial   Hai Karate didn't really do this but it too was a commercial.

Bottom line don't trust commercials.

I started gaining more respect for him after his gesture with the troops a months or so ago, and his stand about the Trayvon Martin thing.

I'll always root against him vs BOS, but the man is maturing.

i never lost respect for him.  I would have left Cleveland for Miami too.  I spent a weekend in Cleveland and wanted to kill myself.  Those miserable people didn't deserve him.

That said... I think it's funny that you decided you liked him a bit more after watching a PSA on "staying in school" from him... a multimillionare athlete who merely graduated high school.  Lol.  For some reason I always assume kids like him get off easy in high school (and College, probably)... Maybe I've seen too many movies where the coaches force the teachers to skew the grades so the star athlete can continue to win games.  Either way, I think there had to be a better candidate for the "stay in school" gig than one of the "straight to the pros" players.  I mean, at least they didn't pick Kevin Garnett.  Supposedly KG just barely graduated.  It's common knowledge that one of the main reasons he jumped to the pros was because he didn't qualify academically for College... makes you wonder if the stories about schools having lax requirements for athletes are true.

THey should do a parody of this video.  "My life is full of statistics... thing is, I could have become one too and dropped out of school, but I didn't... because I was a phenom high school basketball star on the cover of Sports Illustrated, I had a documentary crew following my team, I won a national championship... my games were televised on ESPN... and frankly dropping out or failing wasn't an option my "people" would have allowed.... everyone (from my teammates, coaches, school, etc) had too much to gain from my success"

I still dislike him as much as ever ... because he has "matured" in some ways and learned from experience what type of behavior helps his bottom line and what doesn't, does not make him dislike who he is as a player and a human being any less than I ever did. I can respect someone and still dislike them intensely, (though I don't respect Lebron in most ways, either). To each his own.

The guy is a jerk and will always be a jerk, no matter what his PR people come up with!

That commercial didn't help me like Lebron more. Now if we caught him on site for habitat for humanity or something..

... we'd have to commend his PR team for the photo op.

Props to his handlers for trying to repair his image.

I root for him on my fantasy team.. Thats about the gist of it. Ill never forget the comments last year after he was bounced from the playoffs. Saying he didnt really care, because all of the fans have to go back to working a nine to five while he gets to enjoy the rest of his summer on south beach with all his millions. Pompous donkey.

I want to dislike him, but I'm finding it harder to hate on a guy that looks like Abraham Lincoln.

I don't like Lebron James as a basketball player.  As a person, I'm sure he has some flaws as well as some strength, like most of us.
