In my view his off the court issues and perhaps lockerroom behavior were the reasons he was let go.
Yeah, Faf is right on here. D-West wasn't allowed to go elsewhere because of his play, it was his off court package that just didn't gel with anyone else on the team except Big Baby.

I mean he sucker punched his own team mate in the Celtics locker room. That's not the environment that this team tries to have in the locker room and with impressionable young players like Johnson, Moore and Bradley on the team this year. The Celtics management wanted to clear the riff raff from the locker room and did a good job of it.

Lol...I forgot about him and Von's skirmish. Yeah, he was better off gone. I just couldn't and still cant for that matter wrap my mind around Keyon Dooling being signed over him though. Despite his issues he's got a good game.
Funny thing is Dooling has turned into what Bradley was at the beginning of the year, a great defensive player that gives the team absolutely nothing on the other end of the floor.

Another hilarious thing was Tommy Heinsohn commenting on how Dooling was a "scoring machine" in previous years. Yes, he did say this during last night's game. I mean WOW!!!

I really thought and was hoping that dooling was going to be an Eddie House type with better defense. Pretty much what he was before coming here

Avery was just nervous. He didn't start playing well until he got extended time and didn't have to look over his shoulder all the time for Doc's hooked cane to yank him out of the game.

Had Delonte been sitting on the bench, Doc's hooked cane would have never left his hand. And Bradley never would have settled down to this extent, this season anyway.

I liked when tommy and mike were commenting on a 3 ptr by Dooling back and forth and it went something like:
mike"dooling needs to do more of that"
tommy "yeah a LOT more"

Surprisingly I take Bradley any day of the week. West was one of my least favorite Celtics of all time, Bradley was at that point for me in the beginning of the year but has far surpased West as a better favorite and just a better player in general.

I never really liked West, but I wouldn't call him my least favorite Celtic.  That honor goes to Mark Blount.
"If somebody would have told you when he was playing with the Knicks that Nate Robinson was going to change a big time game and he was going to do it mostly because of his defense, somebody would have got slapped."  Mark Jackson

Yep if a healthy West had been here, AB would still be Cinderella and sitting on the bench .

I loved the pose and control West could bring the team settling it down and leading the charge.

The issue with West is he is like a fragile china doll.  He breaks too easy.  AB  is tuff , young and sturdy build , built for the rigors ( like Doc was) of pushing and shoving with the the bigs and entering there domain from time to time .  AB reminds me of a young Doc Rivers.

Bradley just needed a chance to mature ...gain confidence in himself and his peers.  He has arrived .......just in the nick of time too!!!  Thanks Batman...

Bradley has much more upside. Delonte is a more well rounded and likely more crafty and resourceful player right now, but I'd say that Bradley's potential is easily capable of eclipsing Delonte's own.

Mine has, I hated him as a backup PG.  His instincts were terrible at ball distribution.   His D was always good though.  But I like him as a SG.
