He can shot ...Durant found that out playing horse with him.

PRoblem is shooting in practice and uncovered is a lot different than real gametime.... the shot has to be automatically taken..fast ...takes a ton of practice ....Bradley is get the timming down...I think Moore could too eventually./

If ROndo could shoot consistant , he would blow CP3 away ....ROndo still has two good Knees ,ankles and can outjump ACL CP3 now ....

Rondo can indeed hit the wide open mid-range jump shot with some decent consistency. It'll go away if he starts taking it more, though.

I wouldn't call him a shooter yet but I will say he does look to be much better this year with mid-range jumpers.  when he shoots a jumper for 16 feet and in, I actually think it's going in.

Well, it won't be open any more. If he keeps hitting, people will contest like Wade did.

What game was it that Rondo was triple teamed, but it was one of the last few games.  If he keeps it up, he might see more of those. ;D

Yeah, that's my point. It seems unlikely that Rondo is ever going to be a guy that hits contested jumpers effectively.

If he has tons of space, it'll be like the shootaround.

He's getting there...I think it's just a confidence thing for him.

After tonight, his confidence should be sky-high.

He can shoot off the dribble when he's given space. He's got his confidence going so he's been in rhythm.

But yes, he's progressively gotten better at shooting no matter what people or the numbers say. It's apparent to anyone who watches how much more confident and consistent he looks in his attempts.

I'm not sure if he can catch and shoot, but he'll be able to get his jumper when he wants (for 3 quarters). Guys have to respect how dangerous he is in the paint.

Doesnt matter.  If people are going to have to start contesting all of Rondos jumpers, it's gonna be game over for the defense.  A lot more 15 assist games.

I took notice of this somewhat during the point guard skills challenge. Rondo can definitely shoot now. His jump shot, at this point, is no more or less accurate than your typical point guard in this league, and that, in and of itself, is already a huge boost for this team. This game showcases the potential for what Rondo can be if he truly locks in on his mid-range jumper.

Because of his reputation for always looking to pass first, they give him that open look. As if daring him to shoot. Usually, he finds a way to flick the ball to another Celtic who makes the shot. I love that he took the dare in this game and buried those shots.

He can hit a mid range jumper ok, but statistically he's not a good shooter.
