this might be the first time I've seen Wade grabbing more attention than Lebron :-\

Wow lebron really has turned wade into a jerk..gotta love how wade compliments himself...guy shot just 35% against bradley
Wade has always been a jerk, Lebron has never been a jerk.  I mean seriously, the hate of Lebron, I just don't get.

Lebron's always been one of the more thoughtful, well-spoken players - he's a real student of the game. Before 'The Decision', he'd never done anything really antisocial apart from the time he wore a Yankees hat to the Browns/Indians game.

Then the Decision happened, 'not 1, not 2...' happened. He also said at that press conference that 'everyone who's hating has to go back to their miserable lives after they're done watching the game' (paraphrase alert!), which was bad PR, but understandable after a full year of national media-sanctioned US-wide hate (incl. death threats).

Otherwise, he's never sexually assaulted anybody (Kobe) or had sex with a mistress in front of his kids (Wade).

+1....I get it (the hate) but I can see your point that you imply that it might be somewhat unwarranted.

On a strictly visceral level LeBron is easy to hate. He has played on two teams that have been our recent rivals.

He is so dominant physically, that the specter of PED's (even though there is NO tangible evidence that proves it) has always hung over him in my thoughts. (Again, this is visceral and by definition not necessarily totally rational.)

His Decision in an era of lack of loyalty in sports was such a self-absorbed and miscalculated spectacle, that most people were turned off by it.

Lastly, the calls and the lack thereof (traveling violations especially) that so blatantly and one-sidedly went his way at such a young age have also not endeared him to many people.

With all that being said, I thought about the "not getting the hate part of the quote above" and can definitely see the logic of it. We tend to forget how young LeBroid (sorry that crept in there)really is both because of his physical appearance and that he has been around since high school.

I think many of us have not made the best DECISIONS (sorry, there I go again)in our early 20's that we regretted later in life.

To me, LeBron's self-aggrandizing is far less loathsome than Wade's ripping Rondo's shoulder out intentionally and forearming Kobe's face (did enjoy seeing Kobe get whacked, though) in the All-Star game.

I still strongly dislike the Cheat, though. My LeBron hate is now tempered a bit.

I hope Dwayne Wade falls off the ferris wheel and breaks every bone in his body.

Stay classy, sir.

I'm glad they are doing the humble thing and acknowledging that the Celts are still a team to be reckoned with.

James and Wade seem to have a pretty good take on this Celtics team.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas

Yeah Lebron does a lot of what he does because he wants to be liked and much of what he does, I believe, gets misinterpreted.  For example, the Decision he wanted to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club so he did the tv special.  That special raised 7 figures for the Boys and Girls Club (which has already been dispersed throughout the nation), of course everyone in the media seems to forget that and only focuses on his responses to the questions he was asked by Jim Gray (of which Gray insists were all his).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

this might have gotten overlooked (not sure if its in another post) but for the few minutes sasha guarded lbj, he did a solid job on him (even though lbj scored, i rmr thinking those were well guarded shots). it wasnt an issue yday, but if pierce gets in foul trouble, we have some guys who can make life somewhat difficult for lbj.

We don't have a sample size for that match-up large enough to make any reasonable statistic determinations.

I agree with this. There was one play in particular that Sasha had absolutely brilliant on-ball defense, refusing to bite for LeBron's pump fakes, while keeping his arms straight up and using his body to keep James from muscling around him. Forced LeBron into an off-balance desperation mid-range shot, which got the lucky bounce and went in. Hard to D up James much better than that, especially with the size disadvantage.

In Wade's defense, he may have been complimenting himself, but he is by a good margin the leader in blocks among active guards. It's not exactly far-fetched for him making the comparison, there. It's pretty rare for guards to get blocks at all, nevermind that close to the rim.

Yeah its not far fetched at all just sounds a little insecure/defensive
Only Vince Carter would actually compliment the player defending him. Pierce and KG would do similar since they are avid trash talkers. The only compliment you should give a young opponent at that point in the game is a backhanded one.

Look at the comments KG has had recently calling other players nobodies.

I agree , I don't think it is in LBJ nature to be mean or agressive.  I think this carries over quite a bit on to the court , and probally is what gets him all the grief about not winning the critical game s or big ones.

Jordon , Bird , KG ect.  ... aren't friends with anybody when they are on the court and the clock is running. LBJ has trouble focusing this hard game after game.... afterall being mad and agressive is alot more work than smiling and being content.

Wade is a bit like a pitbull ...you can pet him and he'll wag his tail .  Then next time you reach to pet him he'll turn on you and bite.

I would never trust Wade on the court.   I think he'll do any and everything to gain an advantage ..anytime.  Its just his mindset and he doesn't see basket ball as a friendly sport.

Wade would have made a good Detroit Piston back in the day .

Van Gundy (Orlando's coach) after this season Orlando's defeat said pretty similar thing, something like He always laughs on those whose said Celtics are done - it is never ease to play against them.
