  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Kid has proven himself as a worthy rotation player now, and he's only getting better.
We've got the Big ticket.
We've got the Truth.
We've got the Rondooooo (I guess that his nickname?)
We've got Father Time (Ray Allen).

Time for Avery Bradley- he's Celtics born and bred and he needs a nickname.Doc Rivers told Chris Forsberg of ESPN that he should be known by this..
PERFECT: (Originally saw this on Red's Army)

'The Honey Badger' for his 'I don't give a *bleep* who you are, COME AT ME!' defensive attitude.

Other suggestions:
*Pick pocket
*The Rash
*Real Steal
*The Defensive Co-ordinator
*Skittles (energy and flavor?)

Honey badger is still the winner for me but I would like other suggestions...
In case you've been living in a cave and haven't seen it, this is where the Honey Badger premise comes from....

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Right now he's just A-very Young Bradley, but he may become better as a Bradley Board Gamer or the Bradley Nail Gun.  He may end up delivering like an Avery Envelope, but until then we'll keep searching for the Avery Label.

If getting a nickname means you have proven yourself as a player, then why in the world does Big Baby have a nickname?

I don't know if it means you've proven yourself as a player but for arguments sake I think both Davis and Bradley have proven themselves as NBA players. As for his nickname, see below...But I don't want to get into that argument now though.
Nicknames please.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
Don't know about a name for AB, but I think Doc should put in a defensive package of Rondo, Bradley, Pietrus, KG & The Stiegma and call it "The Swarm"

I like that we have a Honey Badger and a Vengeful Otter on our squad.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson
