I was thinking of posting ahead of the deadline an idea around moving Pierce to the Nets for their pick this year. I was shocked that they insanely shipped the pick got Gerald Wallace at the deadline. Would have made more sense if you are still in the Dwight Howard sweepstakes to find a useful piece, but panicking for a borderline guy is pretty bad. Portland made out.

I'm sure people will be divided on the idea of trading PP. What would you all have thought of a deal with the basic parameters being PP for the protected pick? Okur's contract was included and expires this year, FYI.

No, the only way I do it is if we waited until the off season, and they ended up with a top 3.
no way I'd move Pierce for a pick in the 7-10 pick.

i think we probably could have gotten that pick for ray to be honest. bit of a bummer we didnt get on that, i guess nj wouldnt want to trade within division though

I'd move him but it would suck because he is our captain and a true Celtic.  Whomever the pick would be has more good years ahead of him than PP.

That's not even close to true. No way they could have traded Ray for a high #1 in this draft.
