Yeah, I like Ilyasova. I don't necessarily like him at $8-9 mil a year, but I also don't really like Bass at $6 mil a year (I think he's a $4-5 mil a year player). Will be curious to see what the Celtics get in the draft, might help to define which positions they need to fill. Hawes would be a good pickup if they could find a way to get him without renouncing too many free agents.

My guess is that Kevin Garnett either re-signs with the Celtics or retires.  I don't see him going anywhere else.

Agreed the biggest reason IMO being doc knows KG so well and another coah might push his minutes too high

KG has been fortunate w/ the 5 minute spurt rotations helping him remain healthy it's either here or nowhere

I just can not fathom any scenario in which KG would even consider the Nets.

In my estimation, KG will do one of three things.  Re-sign with the C's, go back to Minny, or retire.

I honestly could see him going back to Minny.  They have a good young team, a rebounding machine at PF, and he still has a warm spot in his heart for that franchise.  If KG thought by going back, Minny would become a legit contender, I could see him seriously considering it.

I just don't see him trying to latch on to a contender as a spare part to get a ring.  Doesn't seem like his style.

The Nets will be targeting a lotto pick for the next few years and they will be successful in that regard. DWill to Dallas is already done. KG wouldn't even pick up this phone call. The DH12 sweepstakes are delayed and it has destroyed the Nets master plan. They should have kept their young assets and built a winner. Even worse they blew another decent pick on Wallace. Ugh, who's running that show a 14 year old fan?

Makes plays that everyone else has given up on.
