Yeah, it's such a shame Danny doesn't take career advice from anonymous internet posters who haven't seen this kid on a basketball court in almost 2 years and is a serious injury concern.

And it's such a shame that anonymous internet posters (like yourself) can't answer a post without using annoying sarcasm.  Marquis Daniels was more of a serious injury concern than Azuibuke is/was, and Danny had no problem re-signing him.  The overall theme of my post, was that Danny hasn't done much to help the Core 4 make one more last run.  Sending off a 2nd-round pick (or multiple one's) to acquire, Hickson, Diaw, Barbosa, or even Kaman would have gone a long way in helping fortify a post-season run.

Chris Wallace said he got the idea to sign Gilbert Arenas to the Grizzlies after reading a blog post suggesting it.

“I’m going to admit this, I’m going to come clean. I’ll be honest about it, okay? … I’m in the office of [President of Business Operations] Greg Campbell, he says, ‘You outta read this thing that’s on a blog today.’ And I don’t read the blogs, but this guy wrote this case for Gilbert Arenas, and I read the thing and said ‘Greg, you know something? This guy makes some sense.’

“I thought about it and said, you know, we gotta look into it a little further.

“So I called his agent up. I’m willing to admit it — I pride myself on being open-minded — and you look at the finances involved, and the group of players involved, and why not?”

Wallace admitted he didn’t know much about Arenas and didn’t do the same kind of background investigation they would do for a draft pick because the stakes weren’t as high.

Wow.  How an NBA GM can't do his due diligence on a guy like Arenas blows my mind.
