I'd take a flyer on him. He has some serious mental/emotional issues but his talent is undeniable.

http://espn.go.com/boston/nba/story/_/id/7834096/sources-boston-celtics-close-signing-sean-williams-waive-jermaine-oneal

Quote
The Boston Celtics, seeking some added depth for their frontcourt, are closing in on the signing of free-agent center Sean Williams, according to sources with knowledge of the deal.

Sources told ESPN.com that the former Boston College center, waived by the Dallas Mavericks in March, is scheduled to join the Celtics in Atlanta and will be in uniform for Boston's game Friday night against the Hawks.

To make roster room for Williams, Boston is waiving the injured Jermaine O'Neal, sources said.

Hmm, very strange they'd do this move this late in the season. Guess they're not really sold on Hollins (not a big surprise there).

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
It is weird, considering the night after he was waived by the Mavs he got tossed from a D-League game for being a jerk.

It is a weird signing, maybe trying to get a jump on next season's summer league team.

He was a spectator at that game. Must have been some serious heckling.

Honestly don't know about this. Perhaps a precursor to seeing Bass and/or KG take a little break this coming week.

Never heard of him. Why now all of a sudden?
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Strange signing... I mean theres only three games left, and he cant play in the playoffs... Just a jump on trying to get him straightened out and into the celtics culture? Im not sure what to make of this one.
