As if the Celtics needed anything else to worry about with their bigs, rookie center Greg Stiemsma, who did not play the final 13 minutes on Sunday, left the Staples Center with a walking boot on his right foot, apparently a precautionary measure as he moved around the locker room without issue immediately after the game. Stiemsma endured right foot ailments while in college at Wisconsin.

From Forsberg.

Glad to see it's a precautionary measure, but goodness gracious this injury/health thing is getting old. Figured it was worth at least bringing up. I'd expect to see a decent amount of Johnson tomorrow against a weak Clippers reserve frontcourt and Doc trying to drive KG's minutes down.

You have GOT to be kidding me...

I thought the Wilcox thing was NUTS - now an injury to Stiemsma? That would be insane!

Really hope the big fella is alright.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
The hits just keep coming. This team might not have enough bodies to fill out a roster at this rate. I hope it's really just precautionary and he can get back out there.

So our bigman depth chart looks something like this

Bass/Johnson
Garnett/O'neal/Wilcox/Steimsma

Well looks like Johnson is going to get some serious minutes tomorrow.

Seriously why not Rasheed at this point. I guess we could just pick up some random d-leaguer but adding Rasheed does not seem so crazy with the way our bigs have been falling

I'd prefer for them to play them out.

it does... even before the wilcox uncertainty da and doc have been saying they need to grab a big man. i hope they get diaw its the best option right now in my opinion if were not going for blowup which i feel like isnt happening, i dont think we can get kaman with our assets and idk any other centers unless we call up a mikki moore type scrub from the d-league

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
We need to make a move but I don't expect one until thursday. If we don't get more big men we might as well trade kg since his increased minutes will most certainly end in an injury.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
