Rondo has to attack the rim with Clippers going small. Dribble penetration.

No shot-blockers out there.

Rondo almost NEVER attacks or plays agressive in the final 5 minutes.

Final 5 minutes is usually rondo just trying to pass to PP or Ray. He complete disapears as far as being a game changer.

Pietrus has had a really rough stretch for the past few weeks

Terrible game today.  Burnt defensively by the Clipper guards, bringing nothing offensively.

The Clippers have 17 offensive rebounds for the Celtics' 21 defensive rebounds. Getting back 45% of their own misses. It's almost impossible to win games while allowing the other team to shoot multiple times per possession so often.

They are running the same set that got them the lead.  Rondo posting at the elbow and feeding Ray or Pierce on the wing.

Rondo has to be aggressive as a scorer/creator here.

He is the player with the advantage offensively for the Celtics. He needs to step up.

This team used to be so good at closing out games.  For some reason, that trend has completely reversed since the Heat series last year.

Is it just a conditioning / age issue?

I hate how our offense just gets so stagnant down the stretch.

There's no excuses for playing great basketball for 40-45 minutes then falling apart in the final couple minutes.  No excuse.

Not to mention it's incredibly frustrating.

Simmons with the dagger! Celtics just dont have the energy to win this one tonight, lets hop we stay above .500 after this road trip, gonna be a brutal one.
Lose tonight and we'll come back below .500 for sure.

It's amazing how many leads we give away when we stop attacking the basket in the last seven minutes or so ... live and not learn, I guess. Lack of legs/energy late?

The question is whether this is a coaching problem or really more of a personnel problem. The issue with rebounding has been ongoing for several years now.
