I'm not saying he's not injured, but what has it been, at least two weeks that he's been trying to decide if he'll have surgery or just get cortison injections and play with the pain?!!!

I mean either you want the surgery or not. Earlier this season when we were trying to trade for D West, JO said he didn't want to be traded, and if he was he would probably just retire.  Now right before the trade deadline, when his name has been thrown around extensively in trade talks, he can't make his mind up about his injury? Very, very, suspicious!

If he continues not to play, nobody will want to take him in a trade.  My thought is as soon as the deadline passes he'll decide to get injections and try to "play through it".

his value is as an expiring contract, no one is trading for him as a player anymore, he isn't officially retired but he might have played his last game

can't blame him, only goes to show how classy the celtics organization is..btw,i know JO has been much of a burden as most people see him,his absence creates a vacuum of what we are in dire need of but pure speculation of him purposely lying just to stay put with the team is totally classless and uncalled for..i hope that for most of the conspiracy theorists out there, if you have nothing good to say then don't say anything at all..i hope he goes back and proves everybody wrong, if not then bask on your ill feelings towards the guy,for all he care, i guess,  'cause he could still be paid his millions..while you guys still look for those crappy draft picks and your "saviour" in the market..

NEVER said JO was lying! I'm sure he has an injury. Just that he might purposefully be putting off his decision on surgery til after the trade deadline.  Either way, his play or his absence don't affect us that much, except in possibly not being able to make a trade.

Nothing like decreasing your trade value.  Sit out and talk about season ending surgery.....
Hmmmmm.  J.O.  needs to go.  He just doesn't play enough to earn his contract.

I disagree.  I think that JO's health affects this team very much.  When he's healthy, he provides a good interior defender.  I'm hoping that he's healthy come playoff time, particularly considering the recent Wilcox situation.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I really don't think Doc and Danny expect either JO or CW to play again this season.

Adding CW to the MASH unit IMO really changed their posture on trades this week: Doc on Friday evening was speaking much more expectantly of deals going down than he had just a couple of days before.

It sounds like JO had two different surgical approaches to consider and it seems reasonable that he'd keep listening to medical advice until his ultimate path on it is determined.  Also, wasn't there the possibility that he was watching a bit to whether rest quieted down the wrist enough for a cortizone bandaid to keep playing?

I really get the idea the team is already counting him out, and if he's not playing anyway, it doesn't seem to matter so much what roster he's on/off.

Wish they could just cut the guy. I have had enough of his nonsense. Goes down as one of Danny's worst signings ever.
