Hats off to Wilt! I was never fortunate enough to see Wilt play but have read a ton about the man. I am convinced he is the best athlete the NBA has seen and quite possibly the best all around athlete of last century. He could outjump MJ, was stronger then Shaq ( and not just barely either). I think the most memorable thing I ever read about his strength was when they had a player roast for Bob Lanier and mentioned all of his achievement and someone asked him the single most memorable moment of his careed and he replied, "the single most memorable moment of my career was when I was fighting Wilt Chamberlain for offensive position and Wil got mad at me and picked me up like I was a cup of coffee and moved me".
Bob Lanier was not a small man either. It's too bad that Wilt was portrayed by the media as a loser and only stat hungry. While it's true that the Celts and Russell beat his teams often it actually was only %60 of the time and as many as four of the series were actually decided by a total of only 9 points. While it's easy to name Russ's hall of fame teammates it's not so easy to name the ones that Wilt had on those teams. At any rate, I suppose 100 points in a single game says enough being as noone else has come close.
