if we can really get beasley for JO and maybe a 2nd rounder(or even the clippers pick)

I think this would be immense value for the celtics...if it works out, you get a potential allstar who is 23years old for a discount.

if not, you own his bird rights and can sign-trade him for more draft picks/prospects over the summer...its a very Belichickian move that he likes to do so often(see corey dillon, Randy moss as success')

yea, if that deal is on the table, I see no reason not to go for it.  JO gives us very, very little and it's not like Beasley is going to mess up team chemistry with our old guys around

I'm not in love with the idea of giving up a #1 for him.  If it's JO + cash, it's a no-brainer to me.

ya, im not sure I would give up a #1 for Beasley...but if all they wanted from LA is a #1 and no players...shouldnt JO and a #2 be more than enough to get it done??

I don't think Minnesota sees JO as an asset.  Rather, he's an expiring contract.  If we send the Twolves cash to pay the rest of his salary, though, they'd be in about the same situation as sending him out for a trade exception.

I would be willing to give them the clippers pick, probably around 25. I don't think there is anyone in the draft around that pick that will have the potential to be even as good as Beasley is right now, and he still has a lot of potential to get better. He is easily a 18 ppg scorer in 30 mins . We need offense and I am sure he would love a chance to get some payback against Miami in the first round  ;).

I hope this doesn't take too long,if this is true this should go through asap.

Btw, do you think that JJJ would be in the rotation ? Who's starting at 4-5 cox-kg ? or Bass-kg ?

I hope it's Bass-KG, because Bass is too small to play C off the bench, if Johnson is playing at PF.

Or this means Doc will play Stiemsma at C and Bass at PF.

Hopefully Ainge trades Stiemsma and Dooling so Doc wouldn't play either.

I think you have to start Beasley and play him 32-35 minutes a night if you bring him in.

I don't think he is the type of player who will do well in a bench role. Needs minutes.

No I don't want to give up a #1.  If it takes 2 #2's, then fine.

JO and cash or JO and a 2nd rounder or two are truly no brainer trades.  But what about Bass, Marquis/Sasha and Steamer for Beasley.  There'd have to be a third team involved because Minny doesn't have the roster space for a 3 for 1 deal, but swapping Beasley for Bass would certainly be more enticing.

If its JO and 2nd rounder or straight for beasley sure!
I'm wondering if danny is maybe thinking PP for a big (gasol)?
he dumps a big salary with 2? years on it, valuable asset that we can get a return i.e. a big that can fill void  ;D that JO has left, beasley moves into starting spot
