As I mentioned in another thread, I don't think Doc has gotten nearly enough blame for our struggles in last year's playoffs or this year's regular season. We continually go several minutes at a time without getting a single quality shot. Whether the players make or miss them is on them and Danny (to find guys who will make them), but it's on Doc to make sure we're getting good shots.

Anyway, one thing I saw last night, and have been noticing lately, is really bothering me. Doc was chewing out one of the rookies - I believe it was Johnson, but it may have been Moore. I realize we don't see every interaction he has with the players, but I usually only see him chew out one of the young guys or one of the new guys (Wilcox).

Why doesn't he ever yell at the vets? Garnett looks and acts intense all the time, but can't finish a layup in traffic to save his life, and his rebounding has really deteriorated. For someone as long and athletic as he is, he's really underperforming on the glass. I realize he's getting older, but there's no way he's giving it 100% all the time he's out there.

Ray Allen is a phenomenal shooter, possibly the best ever. But he continues to make some of the stupidest decisions with the ball. That's one part of his game that hasn't improved whatsoever. He'll cripple a big run with an awful turnover, yet Doc won't yell at him.

In general, Doc acts like our problems are due to new players and/or injuries. The truth of the matter is that our starters often look horrible out there as a unit, even when completely healthy. Again, they go minutes at a time without getting a single good shot, can't rebound, make stupid decisions, etc. Yet Doc wants to throw the role players under the bus.

doc isnt a perfect coach, but I cant think of anyone else I would want to coach this team into the future..he has a defensive system that with the right players should win us games in the future..

everyone wants to look for a scapegoat, Doc, Rondo...but maybe just maybe our big 3 just got old and we lack size
