as shown on our schedule, we are embarking on a 4 game road trip, DET, DAL, OKC and CLE, not an easy one considering we have lost to all of them and on our homecourt too, are we gonna put up some surprises, or are we going home with more  frustrations mounting?  your guess is as good as mine..

It's tough to say because the C's can lose to teams they should beat and beat teams they should lose to. That said, Detroit and Cleveland seem like winnable games. So 2-2 is a reasonable expectation. Milwaukee after that looks like a coin flip.

2 and 2 is very reasonable from that trip. @ Dallas and OKC are going to be tough games for us.

2-2 or 1-3, I think.

The real question is...   will 2-2 be good enough to keep Danny from blowing this thing up in two weeks?  If we can't beat Dallas or OKC, is that going to be the final sign for Danny that this team is done, as currently construed?

I gotta believe these next couple games are pretty [dang] important, more so that most road trips, just in terms of the direction that Danny going to go.  If, perchance, we manage to beat Dallas and OKC, maybe Danny makes a trade to solidify this year's squad, maybe tries to get us another big man.

If we aren't competitive and go 1-3...

Do we stand a chance on our next road trip?

Sure, as a matter of fact I think there is a 100% chance we end up with one of the following records:

4-0
3-1
2-2
1-3
0-4

Well, can't argue with that!

Optimisticly, with things going our way, I see 1-3 and stretching it out to the Mar 15 trade deadline, 4-9!

I wouldn't be surprised if we went 4-0 or 0-4, that's what kinda team we are right now. As Doc has said, we can beat anyone and lose to anyone.

People read too much into the last game. If we win by 30, we are back. If we lose to a bad team, this season is hopeless.

Relax. We are gonna make the playoffs. Whether we make a 2010 run or a 2011 one is the real question.

Knowing this team, I would not be shocked at all if they beat Dallas and OKC and lost to the Cavs and Pistons.

I agree...I'm 100% sure that we end up with one of those 5 records! Good call!

Seriously, any game is winnable whats the point of coming here if all of the posts are doom and gloom and the sky is falling. Lets see how it all plays out and go from there. I don't want Danny making a dumb trade in which the Celtics take on a bad contract to appease the fans that are dying to blow it up.

would I put money on it?

Given sufficient odds, I would put money on it.  If you thought the Celtics had a 50% chance to win each game, then they have a 6.25% chance of winning all four games. That's a 1-in-16 chance, so to make money on a $10 bet, you would need to win more than $150 if the Celtics sweep all four for it to be a good bet.  You would need to win more than $240 if you thought the Celtics had a 40% chance of winning against Dallas and OKC and an even chance of winning against the other two teams.  The second bet seems to be around the odds you would have gotten before the season for placing a bet on the Denver Nuggets winning the NBA title.
